Ireland is facing a strong demand for Employment Permits to fill labour shortages due to very low unemployment rates among the local population. Some categories of Employment Permits have not seen a change to the minimum salary thresholds in almost a decade, with the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment (DETE) noting that this lack of change had not kept pace with inflation or economic growth.
Minister Richmond announces largest ever expansion to the employment permits system
Salary thresholds for permit holders increased and 43 roles become eligible for employment permits
🇮🇪 Ireland work permit requirements changing from January 2024.
In this video update on Ireland's immigration policies, I have discussed changes to work permit categories, particularly the Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSP) and General Employment Permit (G). Effective from January 17, 2024, the minimum salary for CSP increases to €38,000, and 11 new roles are added to the critical skills list. For G, 32 new roles are included, with a salary threshold raised to €34,000 in 2024 and €39,000 in 2025. Other changes involve salary increases for various job categories, such as healthcare assistants and language skill specialists. Additionally, Intra Company Transfer (ICT) salary thresholds are adjusted. Quotas for certain jobs, like dairy farm assistants and butchers, are extended. The presenter emphasizes the importance of job applications regardless of the visa category.
    Highlights
[📈] CSP minimum salary increases to €38,000 from Jan 17, 2024.
[📋] 11 new roles added to the critical skills list.
    [🌐] G category sees 32 new roles, with salary thresholds rising to €34,000 (2024) and €39,000 (2025).
[💼] Various job categories experience salary increases.
[💻] ICT salary thresholds adjusted for training and key personnel.
[📊] Quotas extended for dairy farm assistants, butchers, and horticulture workers.
[🔍] Emphasis on job applications regardless of visa category.

They are also changing 2 years graduate visa to 1 year. And companies are not willing to sponsor as well . So students should think twice before coming. And this year in Ireland has elections and Ireland biggest problem is immigration..No body told this kind of information...

Hello Sarika, I'm from India and My wife working in infosys has got a UK skilled worker visa and planning to fly to UK by feb/mar 2024. Me and my daughter have applied as dependents. Now, can I work from UK remotely full time for my Indian company? Is it legal as per UK & India tax rules? My company is saying it is not allowed/they're not ready to handle any problem if arises. Can you explain the complications please?
