Yes it's a beautiful home that Robin has. I love living in a uncluttered clear home myself. Clutter tends to make me anxious so I enjoy living in a clear home as well. I know by keeping up a routine it is the only way my home can look like this. When I don't do upkeep and declutter on a regular basis yes hot spots appear throughout the house and looking at it on a daily basis can make me feel very unsettled. It is a true blessing that Robin shares what she does, it is really helping me to keep up with my own routines. We use white cloth napkins daily and as long as I wash them once a week they are easy to maintain. If I wait until they are all dirty it's a daunting task to wash and fold them all (we have about 80 of them). I was about to toss them in the laundry as I am watching this!
I spend a lot of time working outside the home but when I am home, it may sound crazy but I love cleaning first thing on Saturday morning, organizing and having a clean house for the week end :)
Me too I get up early as I always do and every hour I do 1 task for 15 mins....ex: surface dust entire house....then relax til the next hour....I find it doesn't wear me out....if I have to run out somewhere I come home by next hour to do next task etc...this works for me I tried doing 15 mins after work but life gets in the way...and I often am too exhausted having to make dinner and clean up.
I work full time from 5:00 am until about 5:00 Monday through Thursday, and about 6:30 - 2:00 on Fridays. I have been waiting to "clean the whole house" on Saturday mornings, and do a marathon of laundry that same day. It is wearing me down. After watching two of your videos, I am going to figure out how to break it up through the week, and do a little bit each night. Thank you for the inspiration.

My cleaning got so much easier when my 4 children started getting old enough to help me, they each do their own laundry, they each have their own bedrooms to clean and take turns cleaning the 2 bathrooms they use!! We don't use our dishwasher very often instead everyone washes their own dishes after every meal

This is the way I organize my home. A zone a day, I work thru my small home M-F. If I don’t get to something, I finish up on the weekend. I do certain tasks every week, and have my list of Monthly and Quarterly. I can easily do one of the monthly or quarterly tasks while I’m knocking out my weekly tasks. Because I touch everything every week, things don’t get too bad. Thanks for your warm encouragement.

I wash daily . Usually 2 loads per day. On a sunny warm days my towels/sheets /delicates dry on the clothes line in the breeze. Everything else goes into the dryer. Your videos are so motivating Xx
I think most people do laundry every day - My routine isn’t typical for sure. 😊 My grandmother grew up assigning a different task to each day. I learned from her when I was a young mother and it has really worked for me and our family. I used to be able to hang our laundry outside. I loved that and miss it now that we live in a place where that isn’t allowed. I miss that crisp feeling and clean breezy scent! 😊💜
wow . it might be because I am single, but I certainly would never do laundry every day. I tend to wear the same clothes at least two days for trousers and skirts so I do laundry only once a week. That must be quite a lot of work :o
I wash a load a day also. So much easier in my life. I do the same regarding my sheets and towels. Wash and put them back on the bed and hang them where they were in the bathroom. We have a second set of each but I rarely use them.

One day for sheets/towels, one day for clothes, one day for rugs, one day for dog stuff, etc...Just one load a day and it is easy to put away when dry and not so overwhelming. The only time we use the dryer is for the towels, washcloths, etc. Everything else is hung up. There are only two people in my household. We do like you do also by wearing the same clothes a couple of times.
Mary, I understand for large families and families with kids in sports that once per week might not work. When our boys were younger I had to throw in an extra load here and there for their sports uniforms and workout clothes, but I stuck to my two laundry days routine for the majority of the time. It all about what works for you and your family. 😊

Wow, this makes me tired. House work is never done. Just what is that little vacuum you are using? It's great. This reminds me of my mom. She spent every day cleaning and picking up the house. Me? not so much. If there is a fun thing to do, I do it instead of clean. I am single and live by myself. This is a thorough and helpful video. I used to utilize a 3x5 card system that basically listed daily chores on individual cards, weekly chores on a different colored card, monthly on yet another color and were divided accordingly in an index file. Each evening I would pull the cards for the next day. One thing I liked about this system if for some reason you couldn’t get to a chore on a particular day you could add the card to the next day or if you had extra time, you could pick a few chores from the next day. I used this system for years because I worked full time which made it necessary to be organized

Thank you for so many great ideas, Robin! I'm quite interested in trying to make the sheet pan pancakes and the wax melts! I already use the On Guard for cleaning (love the smell!). I am quite attached to my Enjo (like Norwex) mop for my hardwood floors (I keep it hidden so that nobody tries to use it to clean up a spill on the other floors 😄). Have a wonderful week!

I'm allergic to house dust. I go into my bedroom and immediately stuff up. One place I always forget to dust is behind the headboard and dressers. Once this is done I'm much better. The extension works well in these areas. Thanks for the other tips.

Hi! I'm new to you channel and I very much enjoy your tips. I have been going through he process of decluttering and donating because I have combined two houses and one apartment into one. I have triplicates of cooking pans, etc. I just did my kitchen over to allow for more space to house what I will use. I want to be sure of what I'm keeping because if I have it, I don't want to get rid of something only to find out that I needed it anyway and then have to buy it. I also like your bible study time. I want to do that for myself. I find it peaceful when I am able to spend that time.
Ya'el 4 Truth yes fans clean best with a double side cleaner that looks like it has dreadlocks. The container store sells them for about $14 but they screw onto a paint pole and you are ready to go. If you have very dirty fans then vacuum after each blade.

I love your house, it’s so pretty. That is a large house, I do the one thing every day too. When my kids were little, I had a once a week housekeeper. Now that they are grown, I actually enjoy doing the housework. I do however have someone do the windows. It’s a little much now that I am almost 60.

We do laundry every other day. Mom of two girls. Weekends bedding. I do floors daily. Mop weekly. I scrub bathroom every other day. And spot clean daily. I keep up with dishes daily and wash my countertops and table top. And decluttered 15 minutes a day. I utilize my crock pot for busy cleaning days.

I stumbled across your daily cleaning video when watching a Norwex product demo video (yours was in the sidebar)! Then I just had to watch more of your videos! :) I think it is so helpful to focus on one bigger task each day (i.e. laundry), rather than trying to do laundry while also making bread, cleaning the kitchen, mopping the floors, etc. Then my energy is zapped and the jobs don't get finished fully. A couple questions--what kind of vacuum are you using? I like it! Also, I'm really not good/consistent at dusting. Do you have any tips for what surfaces you would do weekly (such as flat tops of furniture, pictures, etc.) and what to save for a deeper clean (curtains, door trim, things like that)? I know if I tried to do it all in a day in all rooms of my house, I wouldn't finish. So any tips would be helpful! Also, just wondering your thoughts on e-cloths vs. Norwex (e-cloths seem more affordable). Thanks so much! Blessings to you!

I used to clean my whole house in one day every week but as I've gotten older I find I don't have the energy to do it all in one day. So I break mine up in to light cleaning and deep cleaning.

Yes it's a beautiful home that Robin has. I love living in a uncluttered clear home myself. Clutter tends to make me anxious so I enjoy living in a clear home as well. I know by keeping up a routine it is the only way my home can look like this. When I don't do upkeep and declutter on a regular basis yes hot spots appear throughout the house and looking at it on a daily basis can make me feel very unsettled. It is a true blessing that Robin shares what she does, it is really helping me to keep up with my own routines. We use white cloth napkins daily and as long as I wash them once a week they are easy to maintain. If I wait until they are all dirty it's a daunting task to wash and fold them all (we have about 80 of them). I was about to toss them in the laundry as I am watching this!

I spend a lot of time working outside the home but when I am home, it may sound crazy but I love cleaning first thing on Saturday morning, organizing and having a clean house for the week end :)

It's not crazy that you like a clean house. I like my two bedroom apartment to be clean.
Me too I get up early as I always do and every hour I do 1 task for 15 mins....ex: surface dust entire house....then relax til the next hour....I find it doesn't wear me out....if I have to run out somewhere I come home by next hour to do next task etc...this works for me I tried doing 15 mins after work but life gets in the way...and I often am too exhausted having to make dinner and clean up.

I work full time from 5:00 am until about 5:00 Monday through Thursday, and about 6:30 - 2:00 on Fridays. My cleaning got so much easier when my 4 children started getting old enough to help me, they each do their own laundry, they each have their own bedrooms to clean and take turns cleaning the 2 bathrooms they use!! We don't use our dishwasher very often instead everyone washes their own dishes after every meal

This is the way I organize my home. A zone a day, I work thru my small home M-F. If I don’t get to something, I finish up on the weekend. I do certain tasks every week, and have my list of Monthly and Quarterly. I can easily do one of the monthly or quarterly tasks while I’m knocking out my weekly tasks. Because I touch everything every week, things don’t get too bad. Thanks for your warm encouragement.

I wash daily . Usually 2 loads per day. On a sunny warm days my towels/sheets /delicates dry on the clothes line in the breeze. Everything else goes into the dryer. Your videos are so motivating Xx
I think most people do laundry every day - My routine isn’t typical for sure. 😊 My grandmother grew up assigning a different task to each day. I learned from her when I was a young mother and it has really worked for me and our family. I used to be able to hang our laundry outside. I loved that and miss it now that we live in a place where that isn’t allowed. I miss that crisp feeling and clean breezy scent! 😊💜
wow . it might be because I am single, but I certainly would never do laundry every day. I tend to wear the same clothes at least two days for trousers and skirts so I do laundry only once a week. That must be quite a lot of work :o
I wash a load a day also. So much easier in my life. I do the same regarding my sheets and towels. Wash and put them back on the bed and hang them where they were in the bathroom. We have a second set of each but I rarely use them.

One day for sheets/towels, one day for clothes, one day for rugs, one day for dog stuff, etc...Just one load a day and it is easy to put away when dry and not so overwhelming. The only time we use the dryer is for the towels, washcloths, etc. Everything else is hung up. There are only two people in my household. We do like you do also by wearing the same clothes a couple of times.
Mary, I understand for large families and families with kids in sports that once per week might not work. When our boys were younger I had to throw in an extra load here and there for their sports uniforms and workout clothes, but I stuck to my two laundry days routine for the majority of the time.

Wow, this makes me tired. House work is never done. Just what is that little vacuum you are using? It's great. This reminds me of my mom. She spent every day cleaning and picking up the house. Me? not so much. If there is a fun thing to do, I do it instead of clean. I am single and live by myself. You have almost motivated me to do a schedule for every day or days during the week where I clean. I'm bad ain't I?
I clean the house once a week on a Friday and also wash the bed sheets. I wouldn't like cleaning everyday. I do love housework though from a child. I live alone with 2 dogs so my house doesn't get very untidy.

This is a thorough and helpful video. I used to utilize a 3x5 card system that basically listed daily chores on individual cards, weekly chores on a different colored card, monthly on yet another color and were divided accordingly in an index file. Each evening I would pull the cards for the next day. One thing I liked about this system if for some reason you couldn’t get to a chore on a particular day you could add the card to the next day or if you had extra time, you could pick a few chores from the next day. I used this system for years because I worked full time which made it necessary to be organized

Robin, this video really inspired me today. I am way behind due to a lot of social occasions this week. But I was really wanting to get moving after I watched this. Thank you for so many great ideas, Robin! I'm quite interested in trying to make the sheet pan pancakes and the wax melts! I already use the On Guard for cleaning (love the smell!). I am quite attached to my Enjo (like Norwex) mop for my hardwood floors (I keep it hidden so that nobody tries to use it to clean up a spill on the other floors 😄). Have a wonderful week!

I'm allergic to house dust. I go into my bedroom and immediately stuff up. One place I always forget to dust is behind the headboard and dressers. Once this is done I'm much better. The extension works well in these areas. Thanks for the other tips.

Hi! I'm new to you channel and I very much enjoy your tips. I have been going through he process of decluttering and donating because I have combined two houses and one apartment into one. I have triplicates of cooking pans, etc. I just did my kitchen over to allow for more space to house what I will use. I want to be sure of what I'm keeping because if I have it, I don't want to get rid of something only to find out that I needed it anyway and then have to buy it. I also like your bible study time. I want to do that for myself. I find it peaceful when I am able to spend that time.

Ya'el 4 Truth yes fans clean best with a double side cleaner that looks like it has dreadlocks. The container store sells them for about $14 but they screw onto a paint pole and you are ready to go. If you have very dirty fans then vacuum after each blade.
IF I could choose a house to buy and live in ( I'm elderly and live close to my Mom and there's no chance of that now ) I would choose a house like yours. I absolutely LOVE it.

I wondered who cleaned your house! I watched tour house tour and all I could think was “who dusts those bricks? Who cleans those beams? I love your house, it’s so pretty. That is a large house, I do the one thing every day too. When my kids were little, I had a once a week housekeeper. Now that they are grown, I actually enjoy doing the housework. I do however have someone do the windows. It’s a little much now that I am almost 60.

It really does work, especially with the bath towels. I’ve used it for years because I don’t really like commercial fabric softeners.

We do laundry every other day. Mom of two girls. Weekends bedding. I do floors daily. Mop weekly. I scrub bathroom every other day. And spot clean daily. I keep up with dishes daily and wash my countertops and table top. And decluttered 15 minutes a day. I utilize my crock pot for busy cleaning days.

I stumbled across your daily cleaning video when watching a Norwex product demo video (yours was in the sidebar)! Then I just had to watch more of your videos! :) I think it is so helpful to focus on one bigger task each day (i.e. laundry), rather than trying to do laundry while also making bread, cleaning the kitchen, mopping the floors, etc. Then my energy is zapped and the jobs don't get finished fully. A couple questions--what kind of vacuum are you using? I like it! Also, I'm really not good/consistent at dusting. Do you have any tips for what surfaces you would do weekly (such as flat tops of furniture, pictures, etc.) and what to save for a deeper clean (curtains, door trim, things like that)? I know if I tried to do it all in a day in all rooms of my house, I wouldn't finish. So any tips would be helpful! Also, just wondering your thoughts on e-cloths vs. Norwex (e-cloths seem more affordable). Thanks so much! Blessings to you!
