    Have the Welsh twins ever thought about doing collaborations together in terms of your individual accounts? I think it would be SO cool if you could do some kind of series where one is focusing on the skincare aspect of the same "issue" and the other of how to deal with it via makeup?? Like for example I would love to see a video right now about how to cover your pores with makeup without clogging them!!! It could be so cool to have like a part 1 and part 2 video with the two of you! Just an idea, love the both of you and all of your channels!!

  • @Rambl3On
    @Rambl3On 2 ปีที่แล้ว +42

    Pores are my main skincare concern. Over the years these are the things that have really improved their appearance:
    tretinoin to increase collagen and elastin to try to beef up the skin around the pore to keep them from getting larger with age. Antioxidants are next and they are underrated for pore care. They prevent the sebum in your pores from oxidizing and stretching or clogging your pores. Gentle exfoliants to clear out the pores so that they stay as small as your genetics allow.
    Multi-size hyaluronic acid to really plump the skin which minimize pore appearances. Sunscreen is also very important to prevent photoaging which damages your pores and skin.

    • @jazmine6587
      @jazmine6587 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I cannot overstate the effects that tret have had on my pores. It's actually crazy!!

      Hey! Can u please share ur skincare routine? I’m also using tret for 7 months, now alternating between 0.05 and 0.1, using sunscreen daily and added glycolic acid 1-2 times a week but still have huge pores. Also tried azelaic acid but didn’t see much difference concerning pores tho it’s a great acid. What antioxidants do u mean and how often do u use tret? I wish I could make my pores look smaller 🥺

I started watching your channel ages ago because we have similar skin (on the oilier side, spot-prone, similar skin tone, dark hyperpigmentation after spots) and you were like, the first skincare channel I saw that didn't treat spot-prone skin like a personal moral failing and that you showed your real skin on camera too. I started moisturizing and wearing sunscreen because of you and I can't wait to try that last blackhead product. Thanks! ❤️

      Same. It’s something I’ve never cared about or thought about, but it’s such a big thing now?? I feel like it’s like the “thigh gap” or “hip dips” - no one would’ve been self conscious about these things until someone trying to sell magazines decided to tell us we needed to worry about it. But maybe I just have “good pores” so I’ve never noticed them? Lol

    Hi James, I was wondering if I could request a video (either from you or one of your dermatologist friends) on skin care for permanent facial scarring?
    Especially for anyone who does not have access to surgical treatments or dermatology in their country or through circumstances.
    Apologies if this goes way beyond the remit of your channel.
    I just have quite a few friends who have various types of facial scarring too and who were only given advice of facial oil and sunscreen at the time. Now we are aging and effects of scar tissue on deeper layers and torsion on unscarred skin are becoming more apparent. It would be great if younger people with scarring could have knowledge to help lessen these effects as they age.

    I use clay masks on my nose and chin about once a week. I make them with honey, aloe, colloidal oatmeal, and a bit of tamanu or argan oil. I usually use a jelly mask on the rest of my face at the same time. The clay mask doesn't just suck up oil; it sucks up OXIDIZED oil, the dark stuff. Then I use my daily antioxidants to slow down oxidation as my skin produces fresh sebum. And of course, once a week, I use my Ordinary peel! I haven't gotten a zit bigger than 1mm since I started using it several months ago. I'd already gotten my skin in great shape over the past year, but now I get almost zero acne and it's wonderful. I would love to use pore strips but I've never gotten more than a couple sebaceous filaments out with them.

    Okay, I had to comment, we have the same brain, I am so sorry, lol! I’m always researching and taking notes, and as I pause the video after I noted some of things you said, I filled in the next few sentences- only to hit play and have you repeat what I just wrote. This has happened a half dozen times already and only partway through. I laughed so hard after I suggested using face masks in spots and sparingly because your oil will come back with a vengeance- and you used the exact same word! It’s going to take some time to collate this with my other info so it doesn’t sound like I’m plagiarizing haha! So refreshing to watch your videos with such sound advice.😊
