I am glad you liked it. I get a kick outta 440 tons and 2,979 hp. The event was free. I will have a video of the model trains inside the facility. You will go nuts. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🇺🇲🐀
Those monsters are alive! There is nothing like being up close and personnel with a real steam locomotive. Oh the Halftrack was outstanding as well. Thanks for giving us a look.
The Steam Railroad Institute is great. They completely restored this locomotive. And they are working on another one. I have another video with all the military vehicles coming. Thanks, Ed. 🚂🚃🚃🚃🚃🚃💨🐀
@@dfactoryrat653 I grew up in Cheyenne, The UP was one of the main lifeblood's of the community. The BIG BOY's were rebuilt there, And now I am here where I just hear deasil Locomotives go by. When a real Steamer comes through it is an event. It is so good to know that these are being refurbished and running for all to see.
Very cool piece of history and machine work. That had to be so cool to walk around. I've cycled on the Pere Marquette trail. As I did I wondered about the trains that ran them back in the day. Thanks for showing this. 👍
Nice video! Thanks for letting me take a look at 1225's roller bearings on the lead, trailing, and tender trucks! Not to mention the double beam on the headlight.
@@dfactoryrat653 You"re welcome. Speaking of 1225's water canteen, I know it has the Journal Boxes on it's trucks, but I wonder if the tender was equipped with Timken Roller Bearings or still Friction bearings.
So cool! Would have loved to been there!
I'm Glad you liked it. Chris 🚂🚃🚃💨🐀
Really cool.... I have two old 2-8-4 AHM locos in HO.... Looked like a lovely day to be there thanks for sharing it with us.
