Trimming Loads Of OVERGROWN HEDGES On This Property

The Homeowner called me in to cut their untidy hedges. This was a full days hedge trimming. We trimmed a beech and laurel hedge (previous videos) in the front yard and then tackled all these back yard hedges in this video. We chose to use battery hedge trimmers for this work. Clearing up was made easy with a tractor and trailer.

I love your little trailer and ride on. How handy it certainly makes cleaning up a lot easier. I have a similar trailer, and I never go to jobs without it. I carry my tools in the trailer as well. By the way you did an excellent job cleaning up that hedge.

I do a lot of hedges, though probably not as much as you. The single sided makita hedge trimmer looks like it could be very handy. Anything you could tell me about it compared to a regular double sided blade hedge trimmer? I use battery stuff too not makita though yet.

If you can get on with them single siders are great, they are fast, efficient, lighter when using and its easier to cut straighter.

Don't know if you've considered it, but Lee over at LHL gardens tends to go over the trimmings with mulching mower a couple of times until they're really fine before blowing them back under the hedge or bagging them up. Either way great job and thanks for the video.

Mainly because its lighter and more comfortable to use compared to a double. 👍
