    Faith without works is dead. I’ve always been in agreement with that one. It makes sense, we can talk all we want about lifestyle change, but without taking action, nothing changes.
    Gabe, I think you’re doing good. You said No! to hash. That’s a Huge Victory! Keep going! Things are going to get Better! Life is general in hard. Add post acute withdrawal syndrome to it, and it feels even worse, but Spring Time is Coming!!! Everything Will Get Better.🌼🌟🌻🌸🌺🌷

    Gabe, you’re doing amazing!
    I’m back on frikken .25 mg a day. It’s soooo stupid and seemingly pointless to take. But I couldn’t handle the heart flutters and anxiety. I’m going to try again for sure on Summer Break and sweat it out in the sun at the pool. I’m sooooo close. Ugh!

      Anony mous micro dosing helps give your brain time to adjust plus keeps you clean so better to be that low and clean as it’s such an insignificant amount that it reduces side effects and helps your brain to slowly adjust to nothing as your receptors adjust as at 2 mg your brains receptors are about half covered so at .2 well you are barely activating the receptors also I hear DLPA supplement is amazing for anxiety paws and helping your brain start producing endorphins again best of luck I’m at .4 slow and low exercise diet are key
      You’ve done amazing

      Anony mous -Summer break would be a good time to get off. I know you were off for 20 plus days recently?... I’m I correct? And teaching, it’s very tough. Just plan it out and put all the eggs into the next basket and you can do it! It can and will be done! Don’t be to hard on yourself. It’s all part of the game.

    I had a real good two week stretch. Then I got off work on Wednesday and I could feel the bottom drop out mentally. I went on to feel extremely lethargic, depressed almost to a point of despair as you said. And even physical symtoms. This around day 100. It has been 5 days and I finally feel myself coming out of it a little bit. It is definitely a bipolar ride. You are the first person that I have heard talk about this bipolar stuff deep into paws and it definitely is the case for me. I thought I would be mostly out of the woods by this point but whatever it takes.

    • @gabemccall3523

      Bark -Prepare for that kinda stuff to happen for the next few months. Don’t fear it. Just be ready for it. I got a video called manic depression during opiate WD. I’ve talked to so many people who have gotten diagnosed with being bi-polar during the post acute withdrawals. The mental stuff can be hard but just keep moving forward. Appreciate you watching

    Good video man, you're right about fearing the acute withdrawal. The acute withdrawal is nothing. Does not matter how much you taper you eventually have to pay the piper. Don't use any drugs though man, you will get there. I always looked at paws as doing time in the prison of the mind, it did lift for me though and it will for you. I have not had paws symptoms in a few years now.

      @@gabemccall3523 no problem man, just keep reminding yourself of all the reasons you are doing this. Play the tape through as they say in NA. I'm sure you will have a positive update for us sooner rather then later. It's the nature of this roller coaster of mental health problems spawned by our addictions.

    Well said Gabe! Thank you for making this video I’ve been on .8 far too long. And you’re right I feel bipolar, which made me take more about four times since I’ve been on .8. I really can’t handle the agitation. If I go down in dose which I’m waiting on Friday to do that when I get 2 milligrams strips. After watching this video honestly I don’t know if I can make it. Anxiety is going to kill me. Right now I feel stable without anxiety but once I drop again ??? I wish I never found out about Suboxone.
    Your ideas of videos are great this one especially. You talk about the long-haul, you talk about the fear of continuous tapering. I needed to hear that!

    • @gabemccall3523
      @gabemccall3523  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Laurie P -Once u get your new strips. Give the drop in mg a try?.. if you can’t do it then u can’t. It doesn’t mean you can’t get off Suboxone for good by any means. Just dip your toes in the water. The taper can be really difficult! Cause it takes a mental toughness that can be hard to overcome bc we have extra subs or we know in the back of our mind it’s not full on relapse so it’s easier to justify. I did the very same stuff. You can do it! Don’t let that anxiety get to strong. But I know it’s hard and it’s human nature.

      Allan Cooney -You are right there my friend. Set that date if u can and taper as low as u can before that date. But regardless jump on that date u set. That would be my advice “if” your ready. If you’re not ready don’t even waste your time yet. Ultimately you do it when YOU r ready. God bless

      Allan Cooney I was on Subs also after around 8 yrs on hard opioids. Subs fm around Oct 2018- Jan 2020. I tapered to .5 most days of the wk and about every 3rd day thru-out was .5 every 12 hrs. So it was .5 and 1mg daily for 14 months. Today I'm 49 days clean off Subs and kicking this things ass one day at a time also you can do this to Allen. Like Gabe says you gotta be ready and want this though! When you jump ---Jump with all your might. Good Luck for you. It can be done!! God Bless

    Glad you got sleep the last two days. After about 3 days of 2-3 hrs a night, I actually got 5-6 hrs straight last night. Your prob doing better than you think right now. We'll have these.. "not so good days" so really not bad, right... positive thinking:) I thought about smoking a joint too last wk cause I was so tired and miserable but didn't... prob cause I didn't have any haha! No I can't and won't and will hang in here.... Another day Clean good freind. Thanks for sharing again:) Peace n love God Bless. Btw, remember the weight you've lost and how good you feel cause of it. I'm still struggling to lose about 20 lbs cause I'm a borderline dietetic and Don't want to become one so I know when I get close to weighing 200lbs I start getting headaches and really down on myself. Then I'll go out and run extra just to get back down under 200. Nway this compounded with paws for me makes me have ..."not so good days" most days of the wk:) but one hr one day another Victory right!!!:)

    Hey day 6 off Heroin. Feeling pretty good. Made it through a full day at work. I’d rather do a heroin kick then suboxone kick. actually I’d rather not do any kick Lol. That’s what I’m going for - making this the last time I have to detox anything. I think heroin is harder but a lot shorter- I’ve done both multiple times. OMG. Hash- haven’t seen that in a while!! I am beginning to think suboxone should not be rx’d for long periods of time. Had I known the severity of the long term PAWS effects on my brain and body I would have never ever taken it for 10 yrs. I was never educated by any of the doctors I saw about PAWS My Hope is for people to learn this side to suboxone.

    • @CMoore8539
      @CMoore8539 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Lab Girl The doctors aren’t educating anyone about paws symptoms. They’re just saying that if you decide to stop taking it, you’ll need to taper. They are not telling anyone about the horrible after effects of using it long term. In fact, they are encouraging it long term use.
      I hope that y’all will be feeling Better Soon! Stay Strong.

    • @gabemccall3523

      Lab Girl-Very true, I wanna make a video on my real thoughts on Suboxone after getting off this stuff. Suboxone and Subutex should either be prescribed for life... or a week or 2 while getting off H, Morphine.... something intense. It’s not something you wanna take for a decade and then get off. Well, neither is any opiate now that I’m typing this. But you get what I’m saying. We are in the day and age of doing our own research. We can’t rely on drs to give us the true information. And for so many it’s too late. I have to admit I knew what I had gotten myself into... but more like 80%?... it’s a bit longer than I originally thought.

    • @CMoore8539
      @CMoore8539 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @Gabe McCall I totally agree, Gabe. We have to do our own research. Another thing that is greatly helpful is when people like you, make channels and give us your real experience. Your Truth is Priceless. Thank you for sharing with the rest of us!!!

    • @labgirl3602

      My first response was very toned down ultra respectful response to how I really feel about suboxone. Why not rx people vivitrol instead of suboxone??????? I don’t know the answer to that. Does anyone happen to know??

    • @gabemccall3523
      @gabemccall3523  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lab Girl -Well most people would say heck no. Naltrexone isn’t a narcotic and it’s not gonna keep u from getting door sick. It’s actually gonna make u sicker. U should only take it once you have been clean for at least 2 to 3 weeks. Suboxone and Naltrexone are not even in the same class. People will more than likely just go back to getting crap on the streets and refuse vivtrol. I know I would have. Or got another DR., basically... getting physically dependent on opiates is just a terrible decision with no easy way out... u can go the quicker intense way or the long drawn out way like Suboxone or Methadone. It’s all S***! Every opiate is crap and I hate em all. But no matter what.., we t here and we gotta do something about it. The biggest F you we can give to these Drs and pharmacy companies is best it and show the world they can too!

    It’s about getting used to the low amounts and allowing your brain to start producing endorphins by micro dosing I’ve had heaps of paws being so low so long and jumping off high dose is easy for a few months however show me that they’re clean in a year !
    Acute is nothing to me that’s why I’m staying low for long not to avoid acute but to succeed forever !!!
    DLPA is the thing that is supposed to help big time for helping with paws it’s a supplement I’m getting ASAP

    • @gabemccall3523
      @gabemccall3523  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Gods Elect Atlantis rael -Good deal. DLPA is definitely a good supplement. But unfortunately it doesn’t make all the bad go away. I do know people who have more clean time than myself that jumped off at 2 to 4mg. I definitely remember feeling the PAWS during the taper. But dude just preparing you... it gets to another level with nothing. But keep doing all the right things brother! God bless you and thanks for watching! • @floorbored3128
