You had a passion of studying something and you got lucky because you had a surname, that doesnt mean you should not use your luck. Obviously a well to do SC/ST’s kid would take the advantage if it is given to him. No rational human would deny that advantage just on principle. Mere mummy papa dono gazetted officers hain, main OBC hu but creamy layer, tou mujhe nahi milta reservation, but milta tou kya main nahi leta? Obviously leta. The real question is that as law students, does that advantage make sense logically for upliftment of the SC/ST? I agree with your political opinion regarding the backward class. If the family can afford education then there is no need for reservation for that particular family. But if we look at the population distribution of india it is evident that majority of the population in India is socio-economically backward and only a small percentage of the population comprises of upper caste who come under open category. 50% reservation is given to backward clases and the rest of the 50% is for open catergory. 30% of open category competes for 50% of the reservation while the rest of the 70% have to compete for the 50% reservation. And these upper caste people complain about reservation like u don't even have that much competition in open category as much as the reserved category has lmao. And if a backward class cracks the general cutoff then he/she has to compete for the seat in general and does not enjoy the reservation previlege. So how are they saying that reservation in unjustified when the backward students are competing in general if above cutoff or competing70% of the rest if below cuttoff??😂
Sir IAS / IPS bachoon ka bhi discrimination hoga when he / she hits or encounters one or the other part / stage of life...Main bhi ek SC STATE employee ga bacha hoon... discrimination bohut kaya hoon dost logon mein. Whose financial /social status is actually lower than mine... it's not economical but social too
