I own a K6 . What a pleasure to work on. It is as much fun as riding it. Suzuki nailed it with this bike. Bullet proof Japanese quality.

Thanks for taking the time to do the video. I didn't find it easy getting the side fairing off, especially the ones attaching the flimsy black strip near the front wheel.

In the suzuki service manual it says that you don't need to remove the side fairing, the hole cut out on the side was made for getting the oil filter in and out.

Hey dude, it takes you way to long to change your oil and filter. I have a 05 gsxr 1000 and it takes me 15 to 20 minute to change my oil and filter. I never take the fairings off. There is a opening at the bottom right side fairing where you can reach your hand through and loosen the oil filter by hand. The filter should only be hand tighten that's it. The oil drain plug is at the bottom of the oil pan witch is between the header pipe. if the bike is on jack stands it should take 15 minutes top no longer. You are doing way too much work to change the oil and filter.

The right way to remove the fairing:
    Remove/Install Cowling:
Remove the push gromets under the engine first/ Remove the 3 piece under the triple tree cowling/Remove the two push gromets attaching the Oil cooler screen to the left fairing/ Remove the screw attching the Oil cooler screen to the left fairing/Remove the right fairing (the oil cooler screen will come with it), Remove the left fairing.
    Install Cowling
(Note the middle under cowling fits over the right and left under cowling)
Install the Right fairing by pushing the fairing into the middle rubber gromet and then carefully
snapping in the three forward tabs moving back to front, install but not tighten screws.
Install the 3 piece triple tree under cowling starting with the right under cowling which you snap into place on the right cowling, the left under cowling which will just losely hang and then the middle upper under cowling taking to care to insert the tab on it into the right under cowling and install all the pushpins. This will secure the 3 piece under cowling.
Install the left cowling same way as the right cowling remember the two push pins securing the oilcooler grate and the screw attaching it to the left fairing, push the left under cowling into the left cowling,
Install the 4 push gromets under the engine and tighten all the screws.
If you need to reinstall a left rubber tipover bunge 54nm
