An alternate combo that doesn't require branded in high spirits: nadir servant send titaniklad and add albaz. End phase titaniklad special quem, quem send cartesia to grave, and pass. When they summon from the extra deck, quem special cartesia, cartesia fuse with albaz in hand for albion, albion can fuse albaz and cartesia for dusk dragon if you want to go for quaeritis or luluwalilith, or albion can fuse with albaz and itself for mirrorjade. You also could have cartesia fuse quem and albaz (or cartesia and albaz) for sanctifire, then sanctifire can special albaz to your side and cartesia on their side, albaz fuse for albion, and then you can choose where to go from there. Or, since they already have an extra deck monster, albaz fuse with that for mirrorjade. These lines have much better card economy with more bodies and don't require you to play branded in high spirits, kitt, or sprind. I love nadir servant and used it with ecclesia and fleurdelis to recover from ash in previous formats. But it might be better in cyac format to use the 3 slots to play crossout or other hand traps since everyone will be on droll, gamma, ogre, etc.
Came across this when trying to decide between Nadir and Crossout. Nadir has come quite a ways since this, and can 1-card Gimmick Puppet lock if you play it and have built the extra deck to accommodate Nadir (basically fit a Bucephalus, Brigrand, and Luluwalilith). There are good 1, 1.5, and 3+ (Nadir + 2-3 anythings) card combos: - Nadir send Bucephalus, add Dogmatika Maximus - Bucephalus send Brigrand - Banish Bucephalus to summon Maximus - Maximus send Luluwalilith and either Albion (1-card) or Sprind (1.5-card) If you sent Albion: - EP Lulu summon Cartesia, Brigrand add or summon Albaz, Albion set Red. - Opponent's MP, Cartesia make Granguignol with Cartesia + Albaz, dump Puppet - Branded in Red target Albaz, summon Sanctifire with Albaz + Maximus - Sanctifire summon Puppet + Cartesia (1 card total) or Albaz (2 more discards for 3 total) Albaz can make Lubellion into Mirrorjade if you don't fear Evenly, or if you opened Fusion Deployment, you could have pulled DM from deck, Albaz can make Lubellion into Dragoon, or Lubellion into Albion into Dragoon If you send Sprind: - EP Lulu summon Quem, Quem dump Cartesia, Brigrand search Albaz, Sprind summon Kitt - Kitt search High Spirits, bottom deck second card - High Spirits with Albaz, dump Albion, discard Albaz, add Albion/Shrouded, Mercourier, or other - Quem revive Cartesia - Albion set Red - Opponent's MP, Cartesia fuse into Granguignol with Kitt, dump Puppet - Red make Sanctifire with Albaz + Maximus - Sanctifire summon Puppet and Cartesia (1.5 card combo), Kitt for another search (can bottom deck searched card), or Albaz to make Lubellion (searched + another or 2 additional for 3-4 total cards) into Mirrorjade - Quem can summon Cartesia, Albaz, or Kitt, or whatever you searched Albion & Lubellion plays leave you open to Evenly, however.
I've always played Nadir in my Invoked Shaddoll Dogmatika builds. Now I'm slowly evolving to Branded Despia, feels good to already known some of the useful stuff
Definitely an interesting option. It's just that after thinking about my real life build a lot, I play the variant, I enjoy the most (not necessarily the strongest version). And that version contains quite a big bystial package. And since I already play those (and I don't like Spriggans Kitt that much), I don't want to fit this engine in my deck any more. But, I guess, if one wants to play on the highest competitive level, one should really strongly consider playing this engine. (It's just that I have totally forgotten, what other crazy things one can do with High Spirits. I think Yaccine had one or two videos about the High Spirits combos several months ago.)
That's a wild line that I'm surprised could lead to anything resembling interaction, but I think for me personally, It makes more sense to use crossout, and MAYBE instant fusion + millenium eyes if I want even more ability to play into ash beyond triple crossout and the 1 of called by. crossout does have its downsides, but it's also an extremely versatile card, especially in conjuction with a sideboard. Droll is becoming increasingly more common both in mains and SB, and Nibiru is still floating around just so Kash is forced to respect it and not zonelock 9 and pass every time they get to play first. Considering this deck folds to ALL THREE of those handtraps (maybe not nibiru if you play around it), I think crossout makes sense. I'm still gonna pick up this little nadir servant + branded in high spirits package though. You've changed my mind from "why the fuck would I play this in branded?" to "okay, this is actually kinda cool if you know how to cook right." Definitely gonna give it a try in some casual games to see what kinda plays I can come up with😁
I Second this honestly as no way in absolute hell would I ever play nadir. I respect everyones play style, but theoretically speaking why play nadir after getting ash’d when you can just stop the ash… I just soon play 3 CD and the one called by honestly.

You should do the CYAC version of these lines with lulu. I'm not sure this alone as it is, can be enough to play over crossout. More so alongside it imo
I'm currently utilizing nadir in my deck along side Crossout for ash and imperm. Finally got to test the card in my locals tournament this past Saturday and I really liked it in the deck

I’ve played branded predaplant before and yeah it’s really not as great as the combo lines would have you believe. Ambulo is a custom but branded really is like one brick in hand away from being unplayable most times and you really want to be normalling aluber
For those wondering, cobra is a hard garnet, keeper is sometimes unusable because you really need your aluber search, bufo is often a soft garnet, DM is a soft garnet, and banishment is just horrible to open
I feel like 3 nadir servant+ at least 1 kitt + at least 1 branded in high spirits has less upside than running 3 keeper+the 2 predaplant cards + instant fusion for only 1 more card in deck. Nadir servent is really only good when you have you fusion get ashed, but keeper + either branded fusion, deployment or instant fusion allows you access to dragoon before branded fusion avoiding you fusion getting ashed + ending on an indestructible untargetable omni negate. I feel like adding 6 cards for that would be better than adding 5 cards to just summon mirrorjade on your opponents turn.
Yeah but it is more bricky. Nadir and high spirits are cards you can generally use with way more hands and cards in your deck vs the predaplant and keeper stuff. I playtested alot with keeper + preda but I personally I didn't like it but maybe your list is better
I feel like this video is a good showcase of using BiHS, but I'm not sold on Nadir. BiHS has applications for your turn beyond Ash follow-up, e.g. to help set up the GY further. with cartesia and branded in red and a chimera in your extra deck you can destroy skill drain even if it‘s hard 💀 but I would just suggest playing backrow removal in the side deck. If you don‘t play matches and often just solo rounds you can play some backrow removal instead of handtraps in your deck and the bystial package isn‘t neccessary the deck works well without it

I feel like Cross-Out is still the better option, this requires you to play 3 Nadir, 1 High Spirits, and a Kitt. In the same situation, Cross-out is less bricky and ensures you get through the Ash. Still, this is a pretty neat option if you also value how Nadir extends your play if they don't Ash branded fusion, whereas Cross-Out would just be a dead card.
No shot crossout is less bricky. Your forgetting all 5 of those cards can also be used to start your plays if you don’t open another way to Branded fusion or Cartesia. Crossout can’t do that, most of the time it is a blank card if your opponent doesn’t draw exactly Ash.
@@ducky36F I'm not forgetting they can start plays, I literally said you may value the extension of the Nadir package if they don't have Ash. I'm saying it's bricky because it's 5 cards that require you to not draw some and the combo post-Ash puts you on a -2 to have only Mirrorjade and Mercourier. Cross-out by contrast means you run 3 cross and 3 ash, which you likely are already running, and then you have room for 2 better consistency cards like foolish burial, gold sarc, allures, whatever. AND the standard board is better than the Post-Ash Nadir board, so its more valuable to just stop the Ash instead of play through it.
@@bofoshow5189 agreed my brother in Christ. Stopping ash >recovering from ash. Play allure draw into it 3 CD and a CB your bound to see one or the other In open draw or drawing from allure.
@@Steven-vd1iq I wouldn't say better. Its good. Expulsion can grab from banish too which is nice since you usually have a banished aluber off the expulsion combo. albion works off grave only, but doesn't require a bricky trap in the main. Both have their uses and upsides/downsides. albion being untargetable is a nice addition though.
Galzo! I have found a genius card you could do for the next Branded Despia video: Dragonroid. I know it is a -Roid monster, but its effect literally turns off Ash Blossom for Branded Fusion for the entire turn, and has the same after summon protection Branded Lost gives
It's too bad it IS like lost cuz that would be amazing. But could be another copy of Lost that would also work for Chimera summons or something, idk.. I also like the fact that it can become a Dragon in the GY too...wonder if anything spicy can be made of that too besides maybe using it with Borrelend or something.
@@Vandylizer I'm confused. The wording reads like it would negate the effect negation too with the wording of "The activation of cards and effects that include an effect to Fusion summon cannot be negated" and the whole no response stuff to summoning
@Gaming Banana Sure, I can explain: Lost, Meltdown and Dragonroid all say your opponent can't negate the *activation* of fusion effects like Branded Fusion, Cartesia etc etc. So if your opponent tries to use a Baronne de Fleur or Borreload Savage Dragon, Rulkallos or a Solemn Warning etc - they try to stop the activation but it will resolve without effect due to the continuous protection status of Lost (and therefore waste their once per turn negate). But since Ash doesn't negate the activation of BF, it negates the effect that means after you've activated your first copy of BF it's past the activation window (which is what Lost protects against) and Ash negates it. Other hand traps like Ghost Belle do get stopped though because they negate the activation. So if I use Branded in Red and they Ghost Belle me, she goes straight to the GY without effect because Lost protected Branded in Red's activation.
@@Vandylizer Ah, alright. That helps a lot. Thank you so much, dude. I probably would've started something at locals on accident with my misinterpretation lol
Nadir was unlimited because branded needed to fuse on their turn. Konami really said fûck that branded is floowandereeze now. Instead of normaling on ur turn they fuse on ur turn. Instead of tributing your monsters they fuse away your monsters. It's the same thing 😂
It sends as effect and not cost so I’m pretty sure you can still activate it. Only cards that say “send X to the GY” as activation cost cannot be activated.
@galzo how many of each would you run in the deck cause I do run crossout and I have seen these 2 cards played but not sure at 1 each or 2 or 3 in the deck?
I raise you: nadir servant dump lulu to search albaz. End phase SS cartesia. Opp main phase cartesia make albion, albion banish lulu and albaz to make mirrorjade. Everything you just showed but requiring no cards to discard and no high spirits.
I feel if bricks were the main concern, it's far more worth to play the Predap stuff, like Keeper can still search Instant Fusion to stop Ash via Millennium-Eyes if you hard brick on Cobra. Kitt and High Spirits are great in theory, but you discard so much with this deck and I still would like cards to play on the following turn. I suppose you do get the Albion search with the Mirrorjade banish, but 1 banish and 1 monster negate vs 5 cards after their draw for turn isn't enough considering you most likely have only 1 follow-up Branded Spell/Trap, and 2 cards in hand (assuming you hard opened Fusion, and didn't need Aluber or Opening + its discard to get there).
Nadir servant seems a bit too bricky. You use it to ss a kitt (which is basically a 1-of that you don't want to draw), in order to get one of the worst branded spells (which you probably don't run 3 of and don't want to draw) just to get a mirrorjade; it also requires you to play a sprind, which is a wasted extra deck spot imo. Crossout or patchworks seem simply better against ash. In particular crossout, since handtraps are powerful rn, so playing crossout and also drawing one of the hantraps isn't bad.
It’s not that good. Run another branded in red. Also if nadir is there to replace crossout then I’d rather have crossout and branded fusion in my hand.
An alternate combo that doesn't require branded in high spirits: nadir servant send titaniklad and add albaz. End phase titaniklad special quem, quem send cartesia to grave, and pass.
Considering I only have 2 Nadir Servant and 1 Crossout, I might just end up playing both to protect myself regardless
@@bofoshow5189 agreed my brother in Christ. Stopping ash >recovering from ash. Play allure draw into it 3 CD and a CB your bound to see one or the other In open draw or drawing from allure.
Ok I'm sold I give up lmao
If next banlist expulsion safe I'll buy branded
This deck is very fun and I can't hide it anymore
Plus you got my sub
Expulsion? Lol there Is the new Albion Who cares about expulsion
You should do it regardless imo, the Expulsion/puppet way makes the deck so much less fun to play
@@MrOkusicisb Albion it's the same as expulsion but better
Ladies and gentlemen... We got him.🎉
@@Steven-vd1iq I wouldn't say better. Its good. Expulsion can grab from banish too which is nice since you usually have a banished aluber off the expulsion combo. albion works off grave only, but doesn't require a bricky trap in the main. Both have their uses and upsides/downsides. albion being untargetable is a nice addition though.
Nadir servant to get quem & set up plays on the opponents turn will be great.
Would be cool if you could show a build with the engine in it
Galzo! I have found a genius card you could do for the next Branded Despia video: Dragonroid. I know it is a -Roid monster, but its effect literally turns off Ash Blossom for Branded Fusion for the entire turn, and has the same after summon protection Branded Lost gives
Dragonroid doesn't turn off ash, it turn off ACTIVATION negation while Ash negates the effect. They can still Ash your BF after you use dragonroid.
This is great for master duel with it at 1
I don't see nadir in this format. Yo can't even activate Nadir Servant with Arise-Heart on the field.
It sends as effect and not cost so I’m pretty sure you can still activate it. Only cards that say “send X to the GY” as activation cost cannot be activated.
Yes you can , it doesn't send as cost
While you can, you’re certainly correct that this combo does nothing under ariseheart
@@lovingthepastpresentandfuture this also has a point to, while you can use it arrise heart definitely wins this match up lol
@galzo how many of each would you run in the deck cause I do run crossout and I have seen these 2 cards played but not sure at 1 each or 2 or 3 in the deck?
Always been a fan of nadir in the deck
So you don't get outplayed by ash and instead of any bystial, belle or d.d. crow... right?
im getting the cards!!
question and this is random..but what are your thoughts on "ALBAZ THE ASHEN" ? Could that card be of any value to the deck?
Great Video buddy!
I suppose you do get the Albion search with the Mirrorjade banish, but 1 banish and 1 monster negate vs 5 cards after their draw for turn isn't enough considering you most likely have only 1 follow-up Branded Spell/Trap, and 2 cards in hand (assuming you hard opened Fusion, and didn't need Aluber or Opening + its discard to get there).
i‘ve put you on it on the discord😔
Imo nadir servant is crazy good, I thought people were running this the whole time? I have been 😆
I already have Nadir Servant in my deck
I'm not a yugioh player. I'm just an Albaz lore enjoyer. I finished collecting all Albaz lore related cards just last week
Interesting card. But I’m not sure on it. Crossout is so powerful. It’s not only for the Ash. And I personally don’t like Branded in High Spirits
Great video
Nadir servant seems a bit too bricky. You use it to ss a kitt (which is basically a 1-of that you don't want to draw), in order to get one of the worst branded spells (which you probably don't run 3 of and don't want to draw) just to get a mirrorjade; it also requires you to play a sprind, which is a wasted extra deck spot imo. Crossout or patchworks seem simply better against ash. In particular crossout, since handtraps are powerful rn, so playing crossout and also drawing one of the hantraps isn't bad.
Too bad it's limited in Master Duel
Crossout + 2 ash + 2 imperm + nib + called by + ttt and 2 super poly + 2 keeper + instant fusion
Always loved Nadir as a card, more relevant now and thanks for showing the combo, sick of being ashed 😂
Why don't branded players just run dragonroid?
Bc he doesnt stop ash bc ash negates effect and daronroids and branded losts efect are the same except that lost is better
Omg just use cross out it's so much more simple it doesn't break it up at all I don't people keep saying it
It’s not that good. Run another branded in red.
Also if nadir is there to replace crossout then I’d rather have crossout and branded fusion in my hand.
Wtf is that thumbnail
