@vc180191 there is one other thing. a zweihander or any other type of two-handed blade is carryed slung across the shoulder and is meant for horizontal attacks. take for example sanosukes zanbato from from the anime rurouni kenshin. a zanbato is based off another 2-hander called a nodachi. and, as kenshin aptly points out, its weight gives it only two attack options: an up-then-down strike or an left-to-right strike, leaving the wielder open to any fast attack since the zanbatos wieght makes the

A Zweihander weighs 14 pounds, and Cloud's sword, probably twice as thick, five times as wide (at a minimum) would weigh 140 pounds, any 2h sword (except a hand and a half) that weighs only 5 pounds would break, the metal would be far too thin.

@azndit100 anyone can hold a sword like that because all two handed sword weigh between 5 to 7 pounds. granted he must b using materia to lighten the weight of the fully formed buster sword but still.....
