Somewhat surprised to see that Thames were so far behind with Sons and Daughters. 1984 episodes airing in 1987. In Central, we weren't so far behind. The series finished production in 1987 and concluded on Central in 1988. I know that STV ran it until as late as 1995. I remember rewatching it from the start on Channel 5 in 1998. But they discontinued it at the end of the year, and only reinstated it years later in a graveyard timeslot of around 4am. I missed most of it, but ended up watching it as it was broadcast during the final weeks. As far as soap endings go, the wrap up of Sons and Daughters was really good.
