I love this scene and the revelation. It was really unexpected. Everyone thought peace was returned after Vearn, the main villain, was defeated. Not only we discover who Killvearn really is but foremost that a black core has always been hidden behind the mask. Major plot twist.
Yes, it was an absolutely brilliant twist from the author. We were expecting celebrations and the like, only to hold our breaths of a major danger that was always under the protagonist's noses but that no body had anticipated. Kill Vearn is an absolutely great, well written villain!
Is it possible that Vearn was unaware of Piroro's identity? It sounds bizzare given how omniscient and clever he was .. or did he knew but acted like he does not, so that he does not alert Kill Vearn and provoke him to activate the bomb? I find it difficult to believe the Supreme Dark Lord is unaware?!
@@cat-Ifreet It is hard to tell actually. I would think he was not aware of the secret. Otherwise he could have easily crush the dwarf or just ask Myst to do it. He would not take the risk of being in permanence with presence of Black core at his side which could turn on at any time.

@@cat-Ifreet You got to give credit to how great Kill Vearn acting was. His puppet was shown to be angry and bitter against Avan, yet his true self acted scared. Kill Vearn (Piroro) really knows how to act.
In fact the trick that always killed the theory for any character is kill vearn approaching while playing the death reaper flute and piroro talking and laughing at the same one example was kill vearn first appearance doing it when he meet hadlar and the rest of legion captain's Plus piroro didn't had to be always with kill vearn to act for example while kill vearn was an another dimension piroro was out the dimension and watching vearn fight For if vearn knows it Vearn even if aware kill wouldn't had done anything as his job was to assist vearn in accomplish his goals but if he is to fail or lost he should kill him when the chance come up That's why when vearn for example got weak he doesn't act and try to kill him right away
@@cat-Ifreet We are talking about the right hand man of the only being in the Underworld that could rival Vearn, so it's tough to say, especially with "Piroro's" acting, though Killvearn did know Mystvearn's secret, so it wouldn't be too surprising if the opposite was also true.
@@alex939709 Yeah I know- but it's in a mostly-western setting with western-style dragons. The character for "ryu" they use in the manga, for example, is the western style "ryu" as opposed to the Chinese characters "ryu" for an eastern dragon. I know it's super nitpicky of me, but it annoys me lol
For the world of dragon quest dragons are symbol of power and might in general but most intelligent dragons doesn't show greed in theirs characteristics However velzar show it as he is to found of having and own everything he wants Even I'd velzar was to get the surface world his greed would made him aim for the very heavens and even more
They can be greedy, but even treasure hoarding dragons tend to limit themselves and are more of a collector that refuses to give up any of their collection. Velzar on the other hand straight up wants literally everything to be his, and that extreme sense of greed is what is uncharacteristic about him, he's beyond greedy by even Dragon standards.

There have been some dragons in the Dragon Quest series all together that have been intelligent, but even they can be rather selfish in how they deal with anything outside of their domain (sometimes with good reason and other times because they're just self-centered.)

It's because of the circumstances they beat vearn at his peak And he only had kill vearn doing the job to him since he is sealed away so that is a necessary action for victory And if velzar become God he could build or even turn the underworld into new surface world So this move is actually quite smart It's like he took vearn plan and made it his back up plan
The manga version is more Clear. Killvearn plan was to trigger only the closest pillar behind them. One pillar can't destroy the surface but the heavy heat can kill the whole humanity.

原作ではキルバーン真の正体に驚き、アニメでは声優さんの神演技に驚かされた。なんとも、ぜいたくなアニメだった。
あの高い声から低くなるとかすげぇ、、、。
ピロロの声がまんまプルンスだった時点で「あ、これ正体明かす時絶対声色変えるパターンだ」って予想は出来てたけど実際聞くと背筋がゾワッとする。声優ってすげぇ。

続編ないので憶測だけど。死神の人形を作ったのはキルバーンでなく。ヴェルザーだと思う。
本人があまりにもアホで脆すぎるし。
自分が作ったものだとしても愛着心が全く見られないし、ハドラー親衛隊たちに対してもろに侮蔑的なセリフ言ってたから。
最初の8秒をずっと聞いていられる
吉野さんの声で一番最初に知ったのは「ヴァンドレッド」の主役ヒビキ•トカイでしたね。熱血漢のイメージから冷徹なキルバーンの声は、違和感があるからこそ良かったです。

元々は隙あらばバーンを倒すためのコアなのに何故一度も使わなかったのか．少なくともダイたちとの戦いの中でバーンと二人きりになる機会はあったし、魔法力を消耗して弱ったところをハドラーに押されていた時なんてまさに格好の機会だったのに。
黒のコアの発動に10秒もかかったら、多少弱ってるくらいじゃ仕留めきれないかと。
それでなくても最初からキルバーンの名前の意味も誰の刺客かもわかっていたのに。
キルバーンの性格上。密命以上にアバンへ一泡吹かせたいという私情を優先したのかもしれない

ミストバーンとキルバーンが妙に気があったのって暗黒闘気の集合体とキルバーン（仮初の身体）ではお互い自分の力で強くなることができないからなのかな

初対面の発言からしてキルはミストの正体を最初から勘づいていたりと対比も多い間柄
似た者同士、お互いに得体の知れない輩！なんて思っていたみたいだけど…共通点があったからね。ただ、ミストの方は鍛え、強くなれないことへのジレンマ、コンプレックスがあったのに対し、キルの方は…コンプレックスはあったものの…己の立場、実力を理解し、敵を欺くことを楽しんでいたように見える

二人とも言葉にはしないが、ヒムの言ったように分身体がないと何もできない寄生虫同士。気があったと思うし、美点皆無なのに主君に対しての忠誠が強い事から。
この死神の人形を作ったのはヴェルザーで。ハドラー親衛隊の様に心はないが、力を与えていたからマキシマムのような配下を持っていても気が付かなかったんではないかと思う。
声優さんの演技力も相まって､キルバーンの策士ぶりには､最後まで騙されてました(；・ω・)
