I so appreciate you doing this. I learn when you talk about pattern styles and body type. You have helped me look at patterns better for shaping for my body. I wish these companies would use real life models like indie patterns do. Not everyone looks like a 7 foot 100 pound young beauty. 😕. I liked the Mimi G patterns. I don't like asymmetrical patterns. Keep doing these types videos. A little long, but very informative. Thank you!
I bought 8637, haven't made it yet, but will before summer is over. I truly do not like baggy clothes, A symmetrical shirts or hem lines. I want 8654, 8652, and can't remember the other one. I will purchase these when they go on sale for 99 cents. Awesome video, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for doing these videos. I was really excited to see this one pop up in my subscription feed! I'm definitely going to pick up that Mimi G. Pant pattern (8655). Also kinda liking the knit bottoms (8649) & the duster cardigans (8648).
I'm overall quite underwhelmed by the new collection, lol. Thanks for doing it though Lindsey:) I will say I adore the new Mimi G patterns, particularly that sexy ruched number:) I'll have to order that one I think! Still awaiting the day Simplicity starts distributing their patterns in Canadian stores again:)
I just bought Simplicity pattern 8640 and plan on sewing view. I do wear dresses with pants,. Especially of the dress length is a little above the knee. The dress is little structured at the bottom and will fit most shapes. If you want to elongate your shape, wearing wide pants will achieve that goal.
Hmmm, well, these didn't blow me away but there were a few that I liked. Flounces or peplums are growing on me a little. I did like the blouse with so many hacks. I had to smile at your comments regarding basic hacks. I have two friends who sew. One would not venture one snip from the pattern and the other one mostly thinks patterns are a waste of time and stunts creativity. I'm in the middle, so different strokes for different folks! I love the Mimi G patterns the most and already own both😀. Also love the cover up and mumu dress hacked pattern. Need to make a very simple cover up out of lace and that hacked pattern fits the bill perfectly. Loved the video. Will keep my eye out for more

I didn't care for most of them; way too trendy so they're in today and out tomorrow. My favorite, however, was the pencil skirt with the nice detailing. I also like 8640 but not sure that it wouldn't emphasis my apple shape. I always like a cute exterior pocket. Think the red version was made out of linen? Mimi G is a good designer but her style just isn't mine.
I like your video, but the patterns....maybe not so much. I agree that the Mimi G patterns are cute, and if I was younger- I would try all of them. Thank you for sharing.
Kind of disappointed , there doesn't seem to be a lot of shaping in these patterns. I guess if you just want to hide any figure flaws these patterns a just the ticket. Thanks for the video I really appreciate the time you spend reviewing the patterns for us, very helpful.😊

Love the review of new patterns, McCall’s and Simplicity. I am a new to sewing and this helps me learn what to look for when thinking of buying a pattern. I do not like any of the new Simplicity patterns. I am not a fan at all!

you skipped past them. but the superhero activewear is primarily a repackage of their existing legging and sports bra patterns. except rather than all the leggings or all the bras in a packet you only get one of each. so now you have choices.
Not sure if it's my connection but this video will not play properly. I've tried on my phone tablet and tv and it just won't play. Other videos are playing fine so thought I'd mention it in case anyone else is also having problems
I don't like the Mimi G patterns. Way to tight and sexy. All the other ones look like stuff I have seen already. And they were all really simple. Nothing new. But I have been sewing a long time so a lot of the looks today I made in the 70's when I was a teenager sewing. So new sewers might like them.

I got the vintage pleat skirt... almost skort.... might even adapt it more flowing after I make the first one.... flattering and comfy on most

Some of the patterns that were very full and with the pockets were Lagenlook inspired. I am getting interested in them.
