You’re a fun guy to listen to. I’ve said before you remind of my friend Ty. He passed away in 2015. I don’t have any friends now who are into trains. Wish I did. I’m glad to see guys like you out there. Too bad you are so far away. We do come into Orlando once in a while for vacation. Love your layout and all the work that goes into it. It’s only money Zach. Ha ha. Great job.
The 'new' layout has taken shape really nicely, Zach! It's has a very pleasing shape that fits so well that it appears like it's always been there! It's hard to imagine how quickly and smoothly this has all taken place. Hats off to you! It's all looking really great!
Looks awesome Zach!! Your trains are going to run so much smoother. Great job! I anticipate seeing the progress on your new layout, and how well your track plans are working out. Can’t wait to see your next video!!
Great video, new layout bench work looks good. Can't wait to see the details you choose to place around the layout. Enjoyed listening and watching. Keep up the hobby.
Absolutely loved the idea of your layout always dreamed of having an o gauge layout your ideas always bring great care to not only to me but to everyone of my family thank you for all you do by the way your layouts are spectacular!!
Lookin' great Zach! I used to like to plan everything on paper first when I was still into HO scale, but since switching to O-gauge years ago, I find it more fun to plan on the fly for some reason.
Starting out great Zack👍, I’m sure the ideas 💡will be bubbling out at a recorded rate, will be looking forward to seeing your updates as you progress, take care bud.👋😎🛤🚂
Awesome job keep it up I'd appreciate the opportunity to see your progress I'd love to purchase your old tracks I just don't have anymore room I've maxed out my layouts
Looks great! Interested to see how the incline works out for you with an easier grade. I've gone through several different layouts trying to incorporate incline/decline. I had one stretched out and wrapped double turnaround that was pretty cool. I was using O36 curves and I had one engine that wanted to jump the track when going uphill on the curve so I had to change up. I always struggled with finding an easy grade AND having enough track to get up and back down again. Good luck, can't wait to see continued progress in the future.
The layout ended up being a very nice size. Everything looks great Zach. I have switches on my layout but I rarely use them. I'm a loop runner too. You did a nice job with it Zach. I love it.
Looking good Zack, I think your doing it right. I think trying to join the two layouts Would be a mistake. You have a great place to run trains. Either layout would be great for me, can't wait till you start getting the new one started to see what you come up with. Good luck and have fun.
I agree do not join the two layouts. Too complicated and causes issues for moving around the layout, especially with visitors. You need to be able to move about that room quickly and safely at all times. Looking great Zach!!!!! Jerry:>)
I was impressed with how it looks now. Rounded edges make it look more professional. I am looking forward to watching it grow. I did some work on my layout today. I need to figure out how to post on u tube. Keep the fun coming Zac!
Very nice progress Zach. You are deciding on a grade on the right side. Look at Jason's trains original layout. He has an incline that's goes into an upper level dog bone. Or have both mainlines on table level and a dog bone 036 on top to run your conventional stuff. Have a city on the right and mountains on the left with the middle being the yard and focal point. Think about it. Great work!
Great job thus far, looking good! I’m sure doing some elevation on O gauge have to be easier than doing it on HO or N. I know on N, it’s that first rise that needs to be perfect or your looking at derailments and uncoupling LOL It’s been years since I’ve modeled O scale and as I remember, you got a lot more leeway with the bigger track, lucky you LOL Looking forward to the next video. Ron
Awesome layout!! even though I'm a gargraves and ross switches type of guy. I understand about the blocking the door. You could also build a bridge out of 1×12 with hinges so you can flip it up to connect the other layout together and run the whole length. That's what I did to connect another section so I wouldn't block a walk walkway.
Looking good so far. Bench work the hardest project completed. You struck it lucky with the extra trackage,. No wastage. Before you know it the new layout will be completed! Have you sold the track & switches?
Hello Zac; Your New platform is going to give you much better Videos @time , your wife stated to you leaving one or two videos from each rooms what a great idea you have to give it to her. As always your videos are important. Lackawanna John.
You have my most favorite channel on You Tube. Love the videos. I enjoy your trains more than mine. Do you have a train conductor hat? Thank you as this is excellent. Do you have anything on the plans for Halloween and Christmas for the layout?
Thanks David! No hat… do have a whistle though! Does that count! LOL I used to put up a Halloween scene on the layout, but with it torn apart, don’t see it happening this year.
Well, I certainly like the new layout as, if you look at some of my videos, I too am a loop runner, although I do have some sidings. I am able to run 7 powered units at a time but rarely do due to the likely hood of unnoticed coupler failures leading to some interesting train wrecks. I really like the raised bridge and look forward to the completion of the el.
With the wide tables if something do you realize how do you reach it I'm going to have to build my lay out the same way I wanted to see how you reached up when it comes off the track
I’ve always just climbed up on the layout if needed. No trap doors or anything. Aside from the back corner, everything is fairly accessible on this layout at the moment.
Looks like a great plan. Best of luck with it. I am just curious about the placement of the bridge that you have currently placed beside the loop. If you are planning to place it there only, won't the locomotive passing below it crash into pillars.
Really enjoying the size of the layout. The large curveslet the train SAIL period I own an operate a bascul bridge on my layout. Can't get the wiring completely a 100 %for the safety. Features But but it operates. I haven't had any accidents yet. I used to work for M D o t the state of michigan has several lift bridges , draw bridges , swing bridges , so you made a good j Choice Training grade will come later. You can add depth and character the layout with craigslist rock shelves granite. Other features you create your very creative. I have really enjoyed your show. Yes, I do Haver f*****I don't have very many engines. I recently just got back into the hobby so I'm working on my Lionel. I am at home to steam engines. One locomotive, use 63 BIT EI believe it is but anyway, thank you for your time and a 1/2. You're a friend, Joel bell. Or googles or JB or just J or bell you get the picture? Keep Humpin
Hello Zach, I will miss the old layout, but it is always stated " a layout is never finished until you say its finished " As for the new layout looks good, was wondering if you are going to add tunnel in the back end of the layout??🤔🤔
I might be more excited than you to see this built. Could be as you are doing the benchwork and not me. Not my favorite part of a build. Loop running is just fine. Less switches equals less bitches. I had a layout with 18 of them. Pain in the butt over time. Linking the two layouts in my very humble opinion would over complicate things, and besides, you have two unique creations that are stand alone. Very well done laddie! Please dont make us wait years to finish. Besides, like Elwood Blues, you are on a mission from God.
looks good Zack, bigger than I thought it would be- which is a good thing. good job
Beautiful work Zach, very impressive.
Great start and I am glad you got the space issue worked out with the size curves you wanted to use.
You’re a fun guy to listen to. I’ve said before you remind of my friend Ty. He passed away in 2015. I don’t have any friends now who are into trains. Wish I did. Excellent start to the new layout! Do I sense a number of video trips to Roundhouse South coming? lol Get ready Tony, here we come!! Thanks, Zach! T4
Looks great and your plans are solid. I will be looking forward to seeing your progress!
Great video, new layout bench work looks good. Can't wait to see the details you choose to place around the layout. Enjoyed listening and watching. Keep up the hobby.
Looks good Zack, like your old school approach to the build.keep up good work.
Looks good, I will miss the old track though. That's the kind I grew up with and still have. Keep up the good work!
Great job, Zack. Keep on keeping on with your hobby. I enjoy you approach in regards to the hobby.
I think you’ll be good with your 2% grade. I’ve pushed it to 3.5% and still don’t have problems with the big and heavy trains. Great update!
Looking great Zach.. gonna come out really good. Can’t wait to see it progress to the end..👍👍
Awesome update. It’s coming along great. Can’t wait to see more progress.
Looks Outstanding Zak! We are all aboard with you every step of the way!
Starting out great Zack👍, I’m sure the ideas 💡will be bubbling out at a recorded rate, will be looking forward to seeing your updates as you progress, take care bud.👋😎🛤🚂

Very impressive it looks great keep it up . You are definitely inspiring me to get started on mine as soon as I have the time
The large radius turns are amazing. This is going to be a great layout

Look at you, knocking it out! That's fast.
Loving the new changes can't wait to see what you do next keep up the great work 👍
Looks awesome zac. Love the track plan
Looking sharp Zack. I can see some cool stuff coming
Its coming along rather well. Keep chugging along. Enjoy your day.

Beautiful start brother
Looking good Zach! I always look forward to your videos!
Thank you!
I like it, I like it, way to go Zach, looking forward to next video.
You could put a swing bridge in and tie the two layouts together
Awesome job on both layouts!!!
lovely work mate, keep well,
regards,
Terry.
Looking great Zach. I look forward to the progress here.
Great layout, this thing is huge!
Awesome layout!! even though I'm a gargraves and ross switches type of guy. I understand about the blocking the door. Zack you have to plan and decorate before you can enjoy the party. HA HA great content!!
Great job Zak!
The beard is looking great Bunk. 🤘🚂🤘
Looks great. Hope to compare notes and ideas down the line.
Looking good! Can’t wait to see what’s next!
Just as an FYI for safety reasons, "Never block a door". You made the right decision!!
I like where it's going, can't wait for the next update 👍👍
I totally agree on the planning part to physically lay things out and fit them. I don't use any programs either.
Nice start 👍🏻
Nice start , your Elevated idea is gonna work good at 2% grade you’ll be it’s going to be awesome can’t wait to see it
Great work! KEEP GOING
THANKS FOR SHARING!!! GREAT JOB!!!
Looking good can't to see what next's
The new layout looking good so far, better than using it for a storage bench
Awesome best part of the hobby !
Looking good so far.
Bench work the hardest project completed.
You struck it lucky with the extra trackage,. No wastage.
Before you know it the new layout will be completed!
Have you sold the track & switches?
Thanks! Not yet, have a few interested who have reached out. Haven’t had much time to get it together yet though either…
Looking good!! As you always say the main thing is that it works and satisfys you!!!
Looks great 👍
Looking good!
It's always fun to make improvements. It gives me an excuse to buy more train stuff. And I can never have enough trains. Long live model railroading!
Absolutely!! Too much is never enough!! LOL
Good job!
Great job Zach! love the videos and the channel. Can't wait for future updates! BTW what how do you tack down the grass mat?
Thanks!! Using some cheap carpet tacks from the local HD. They work fairly well, and hide easy with some scenic work/trim.
Hello Zac; Your New platform is going to give you much better Videos @time , your wife stated to you leaving one or two videos from each rooms what a great idea you have to give it to her. As always your videos are important. Lackawanna John.
It's great when Mrs allow you a lot of latitude, she was going to let me go to york this week, but I decided to hang out at the barn.
Probably a good move on the wallet! Wish we could go, but have other obligations.
Great work I love the layout, the legs on the layout what size lumber did you use keep up the great work
Thank you! Framework is basic 2x4’s, and table top is 3/4” pressboard.
You have my most favorite channel on You Tube. Love the videos. I enjoy your trains more than mine.
Do you have a train conductor hat?

Nice!!
The layout is very simple but very interesting howwww it will turn out
Any thoughts to attach the 2 layouts together
When you finish with the layout, do you think you might be interested in a challenge?
What’s that?
With the wide tables if something do you realize how do you reach it I'm going to have to build my lay out the same way I wanted to see how you reached up when it comes off the track
I’ve always just climbed up on the layout if needed. No trap doors or anything. Aside from the back corner, everything is fairly accessible on this layout at the moment.

Definitely needs new support built for it!
Awesome Zach but i do beleive with in the next year or two you will have a train larout in every room of your house,,,,lol
I would not complain!! LOL
nice truck
Very nice.
what is you made a lift bridge between the two layouts
Looking like my old trainset
Where did you get the subway trestle?
What brand of track?
Hi Zach are you going to join the two layouts together with a link track ?
Really enjoying the size of the layout. The large curveslet the train SAIL period I own an operate a bascul bridge on my layout. Can't get the wiring completely a 100 %for the safety. Features

6️⃣0️⃣3️⃣🚂😎. 🚂❤️wow Amazing ❤️🚂 it’s giant. Wicked awsum ❤️🚂
Great job 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hey stranger sorry haven’t Been watching Lately had to get a New Phone. Now I have it good to see your layout.
Hey Zach, man it’s looking great 👍 What is the height of your bench work. I’m going to start my layout this winter. My first layout 🚂🚂🚂🚂
Around 42” or so. I’m sure you will have a blast with it!!
Nice Video
You can double the mth grade it just gets pricey and lots of real estate.
Just saying but you should connect the 2 layouts with a bridge that would be really cool
🚂❤️. Luv it. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Hello Zach, I will miss the old layout, but it is always stated " a layout is never finished until you say its finished " As for the new layout looks good, was wondering if you are going to add tunnel in the back end of the layout??🤔🤔
071 will handle all those big scale engines you will be purchasing in a short period of time😀
There is this saying in the hobby Blame Heath, but scraping the tube track, Blame Nick, Nix Crossing.
Great
work, work, work. play, play, play. repeat!
I ALL WAYS THING PAINTING BOARD DARK GREEN LIKE I DID EASY TO CUT THUR..
NO TURN TABLE YET.
I think you are getting a lot of mileage out of the new layout, Zach.
I might be more excited than you to see this built. Could be as you are doing the benchwork and not me. Not my favorite part of a build. Loop running is just fine. Less switches equals less bitches. I had a layout with 18 of them. Pain in the butt over time.
