Tarte Shape Tape makes me look 185 years old and as dry as a desert, it just absolutely does not work for my skin. I keep hearing the Too Faced described as more hydrating, so I'm excited to give it a try.
I have 50,000 concealers but I still want THIS one, lol. Almost bought it on Ulta the other day but decided I need to use what I have first. But I really wanna try it.

With the 20% off at Ulta, I ordered a couple shades of this. With the larger size and cheaper price point than Shape Tape and super close quality comparison, it’s hard to disagree that this wins. I’m looking forward to my Ulta shipment, that I swear always comes strapped to a turtle’s back, so I can give this a run! PS- super thrilled you got PR! It’s about time you and Kelsee got on their radar! You both give the best unbiased analysis reviews!!
I have been trying so hard to make this work and what I ultimately landed on is that for me, it's best applied with my fingers. I take a tiny amount on the back of my hand and then tap it into my under eyes. If I use a beautyblender or an Artis brush, I lose some of the coverage. I hate applying products with my hands, but in this case it makes such a difference!
Just ordered mine today in vanilla cant wait to get it. My fav foundations are born this way and peach perfect I'm just hooked on too faced I cant help myself with their stuff.
I paused the video to try and see which side looked better by honestly they look the same to me 😩 I can’t tell a difference no matter how hard I look. Then again, your skin is so flawless and perfect 😻☺️

I ordered the TF concealer before seeing any reviews. I will be getting it in the mail tomorrow. Ulta shipping is so slow. But I hope I get great results. I love Shape Tape but it's too drying under my eyes. I hope this one will be a better option.
I was glad to see this review as I just bought this concealer since the Shape Tape is a little drying. I like this better for everyday, but for special occasions I think I would use the Shape Tape! Yes I will stay tuned. Thanks 🙏

I grabbed both the concealer and the foundation. Never tried tarte shape because of the undertones (to pink, I but always wanted to) but this I’m EXCITED for. NARS radiant creamy is my go to and I was able to find a similar shade to caramel 😊💕 I’m loving that I can get double for the same price!

Blanca Cano , Absolutely. Hands down.... the Tatcha Pearl💜. It does 2 things at once. It has anti aging properties AND it has pigment so it can actually be used as a concealer. BUT, the main reason I say the Tatcha is that it is not drying to the Under eye. I have a problem with the Becca because I already have dry Under eyes and the Becca seems to be a dry formula. Dry+Dry= no good for my under eyes. Lol😂. I am 51 and take medication that already makes my skin dehydrated. I need all of the HELP I can get and the Tatcha really seems to help:). Born This Way is HANDS DOWN the best concealer I’ve ever tried! And the best contour!!! I am 36 and have fine lines under my eyes. My Makeup Forever concealer started to crack and rather enhance my fine lines. Baking enhanced them even more! All the while my water line eyeshadow and liner started to collect in the lines! 😖 Disaster! I bought Vanilla to conceal and Mocha to contour, OH-MY-GOD! It’s so hydrating, super full coverage all the while you don’t feel “makeupy”. It doesn’t crack (hello, at 36?) and it lasts all day. Can’t say enough good things about it. As far as contour, MAC discontinued my go to and ever since I jumped around products and nothing worked. All products didn’t move around and I looked like I had stains on my face rather than contoured. Until this baby as well. So easy to blend. A tiny bit goes a long way (for both purposes). Your face looks radiant and fresh. $60 for both is a lot, but it’ll last and it’s totally worth it 👌 Best product of its kind.
I agree. The Tarte Shape Tape is giving a little more coverage, but both concealers look nice. I tried the Shape Tape and I didn't like how it looked under my eyes so I just use a little of it to brighten. But I think might try the Too Faced concealer.

So excited to try this! I’m a concealer mixer lol. I actually mix the tarte shape tape with the born this way naturally radiant concealer and it’s perfect for me since I don’t wear foundation. The shape tape is too much coverage and a little drying on me. So this may be just perfect on its own!

I herd this was a hydrating version of the tarte shape tape and immediately went out and got three shades I'm so excited to give them a try , i finally got to another Sephora location that had an Hourglass section so I could finally shade match myself and ended up getting three different shades of that to so I'm hoping this concealer pairs well with that foundation
I think I would definitely like to try this one. I have oily skin, but I'm 42, so I have aging skin, I have to be careful my under eyes can look "make-y" if I'm not careful. Less product looks better. I'm really interested in trying the kkw concealer too.
The Two Faced side looks much more natural. No creasing or cakey look. The Shape Tape looks heavy, cakey and a little creased. You have such beautiful skin! I personally don't think you need so much concealer. But I'm no expert. Either way, you look lovely!
Also on the too faced side, the highlight looks better as well. On the tarte side, you can see its accentuated texture on your skin. Can't wait to hear your thoughts in a few weeks time, once you've played with it some more Chick xoxo

The coverage on the Tarte side is much better, but the TF does look much smoother. I did side by sides with this and Tarte (on my Insta) and everyone picked Tarte, including in person my husband (though at first he couldnt tell.) I get the other two shades I ordered tomorrow, and will try those to make sure it was not a shade issue, but I was a little bit bummed at the coverage, and the shade range is ...stupid. It did last well all day, though, so that is a plus.
I forgot to ask you earlier, I picked up the new finishing powder from Armani, the neo nude something something lol, I can't think right now, hopefully you know what I'm talking about. They have like 12 shades and the packaging is nude and they specifically call it a finishing powder and I Immediately thought of you. I haven't tried it yet since I just bought her yesterday but it seems like it would be up your alley. They have a few new products that I was quite interested in, like the little highlight and Bronzer that look like they are in little lipstick packaging. Super cute but really glittery so I got a bit scared lol. I was like ok I have to try the powder but hopefully Mel will try these highlights out and then I'll see if I should pick em up. Lol ❤️❤️

Jena Froese I just got this to im over the moon to try it I have dry skin and just got the shape tape and before I even opened my shape tape I went out and got this toofaced concealer first that way I can do damage control if the shape tape is to drying on me lol I thought maybe mixing them might give me a fighting chance as a worst case to use up the shape tape but here's to praying lol 🙏😂
I think there's a place for both, depending on what look you're going for. The Tarte side did look more perfected and full coverage, but the Too Faced side looked really good as well, just more laid back and natural. My only gripe with the TF is the shade range. It is lacking in a few areas, especially in the super fair and the super dark range. My daughter is a N10, and the lightest shade is still too dark. I am an NW20(usually one of the easiest shades to match), and I can't find one that has the right depth without being yellow. Almost all of the super light shades pull yellow, but I was able to make Porcelain work for under eye. Nude would be perfect if it was a shade or so lighter. I can only imagine how difficult it is for darker skinned people trying to find a match, and they definitely won't find a good contour shade. TF needs to extend this range on both ends and add a few cool toned shades in the middle. Sorry for the long comment, I just hope to help someone trying to order their shade online. I always look for these kind of comments myself 😉

Maybe this TF concealer will work for me because I cannot wear the Tarte shape tape. It makes my undereye look so dry. I have oily skin but looks so horrendous on my face. Maybe TF will be a bit more emollients and will look how I wanted the shape tape to look.
Mine is in the mail i look forward to trying it out. I have been loving the Laura mercier one and YSL mainly since shape tape does dry out my under eyes too much
I think they both look great I feel like the tarts shape tape is a little bit lighter than the too faced one so it looks a little brighter but both look really nice! I think I am the only one that doesn’t like shape tape it’s way to dry under my eyes and makes me look 10 years older I bought it and can’t even use it so I think I will give too faced a chance!! I have never had issues with dryness under my eyes but something with that concealer and me don’t work so this review was great!
My gurllll lol I was waiting on this. I really wanted it for contouring due to the extra coverage. I figured double duty as I guess it’s suppose to be lol Your makeup always looks flawless.
I absolutely hated the shape tape concealer. It was awful, dry, and smelled too flowery. So I'M SO EXCITED to try this new one. I do like the BTW side on you, its not as smooth, but it looks more hydrating with makes you glow :)
I picked up Gold Beige which is a decent match for my face but too dark and yellow for under my eyes as it's got too much green in it and am going to go lighter. I found the shades i.e. light, light medium categories run darker than the Shape Tape. I have very dry under eye skin so the Too faced is better for me there.

Too Faced is best for a “natural” look!!! I prefer that - The Tarte shape tape is best for a thicker, heavier coverage.

I got them in light beige and mocha to contour. I have it on now with ysl all hours foundation and looks great, feels great.

The coverage on the Tarte side is much better, but the TF does look much smoother.
I did side by sides with this and Tarte (on my Insta) and everyone picked Tarte, including in person my husband (though at first he couldnt tell.) I get the other two shades I ordered tomorrow, and will try those to make sure it was not a shade issue, but I was a little bit bummed at the coverage, and the shade range is ...stupid. It did last well all day, though, so that is a plus.
I forgot to ask you earlier, I picked up the new finishing powder from Armani, the neo nude something something lol, I can't think right now, hopefully you know what I'm talking about. They have like 12 shades and the packaging is nude and they specifically call it a finishing powder and I Immediately thought of you. I haven't tried it yet since I just bought her yesterday but it seems like it would be up your alley. They have a few new products that I was quite interested in, like the little highlight and Bronzer that look like they are in little lipstick packaging. Super cute but really glittery so I got a bit scared lol. I was like ok I have to try the powder but hopefully Mel will try these highlights out and then I'll see if I should pick em up. Lol ❤️❤️

Jena Froese I just got this to im over the moon to try it I have dry skin and just got the shape tape and before I even opened my shape tape I went out and got this toofaced concealer first that way I can do damage control if the shape tape is to drying on me lol I thought maybe mixing them might give me a fighting chance as a worst case to use up the shape tape but here's to praying lol 🙏😂
I think there's a place for both, depending on what look you're going for. The Tarte side did look more perfected and full coverage, but the Too Faced side looked really good as well, just more laid back and natural. My only gripe with the TF is the shade range. It is lacking in a few areas, especially in the super fair and the super dark range. My daughter is a N10, and the lightest shade is still too dark. I am an NW20(usually one of the easiest shades to match), and I can't find one that has the right depth without being yellow. Almost all of the super light shades pull yellow, but I was able to make Porcelain work for under eye. Nude would be perfect if it was a shade or so lighter. I can only imagine how difficult it is for darker skinned people trying to find a match, and they definitely won't find a good contour shade. TF needs to extend this range on both ends and add a few cool toned shades in the middle. Sorry for the long comment, I just hope to help someone trying to order their shade online. I always look for these kind of comments myself 😉

The Tarte does have more coverage but I like the TF concealer..
I have mature skin so I’ve never tried the Tarte one so I’m going try the TF one...

Maybe this TF concealer will work for me because I cannot wear the Tarte shape tape. It makes my undereye look so dry. I have oily skin but looks so horrendous on my face. Maybe TF will be a bit more emollients and will look how I wanted the shape tape to look.
Mine is in the mail i look forward to trying it out. I have been loving the Laura mercier one and YSL mainly since shape tape does dry out my under eyes too much

I think they both look great I feel like the tarts shape tape is a little bit lighter than the too faced one so it looks a little brighter but both look really nice! I think I am the only one that doesn’t like shape tape it’s way to dry under my eyes and makes me look 10 years older I bought it and can’t even use it so I think I will give too faced a chance!! I have never had issues with dryness under my eyes but something with that concealer and me don’t work so this review was great!

My gurllll lol I was waiting on this. I really wanted it for contouring due to the extra coverage. I figured double duty as I guess it’s suppose to be lol Your makeup always looks flawless.

We can't get the Shape Tape here in Germany so maybe I will try the Too Faced Concealer. I am always on the hunt for a good Concealer. :)
I absolutely hated the shape tape concealer. It was awful, dry, and smelled too flowery. So I'M SO EXCITED to try this new one. I do like the BTW side on you, its not as smooth, but it looks more hydrating with makes you glow :)
I picked up Gold Beige which is a decent match for my face but too dark and yellow for under my eyes as it's got too much green in it and am going to go lighter. I found the shades i.e. light, light medium categories run darker than the Shape Tape. I have very dry under eye skin so the Too faced is better for me there.
Both concealers look nice. I like the Too Faced side slightly more because it looks more natural.
