Could I use just mink oil paste on my doc martens? Would it ruin the yellow laces?

    • @BestForMyFeet

Hey Kristie. Yes you could use the mink oil paste.
I would remove the laces becore applying the paste though.
Also make sure you spread the mink oil properly and allow the boots to absorb the mink oil before you put your laces back.Unfortubatelly they will get a tiny, tiny, tiny bit greasy, it's inevitable but it won't ruin them.
Worst case scenario, apply mink oil to the boot but skip the laces areas, mainly the tongue of the boots and the eyelets.
      Hope it helps.

Awesome video! Just got a set of Thorogoods myself, starting the VEEP lineman program in March. How often do you recommend redoing the mink oil?

If you put a hair dryer to your boots after it helps absorb into them

thanks for the tip. I'm not in a rush though since I have a few pairs I rotate. After I condition them I leave them to rest for a couple of days before I put them back into rotation.
