What are the best and worst books in your library?
Funny that you mention 'Amerika' by Kafka alongside the 'Investigations of a dog'. I haven't read the latter, but Amerika is of my favourites of his :) Anyway, cool tag idea, maybe I'll also do it sometime.
Thanks for sharing! I read Amerika years ago so should probably give it a reread soon! Would like to see your version :)
💖 well done 💖 just getting into poetry😍 good start
Thank you so much❤
look at you creating an original tag! thank you for tagging me! excited to do this one.
and had never heard of Dean Young! love the New York School gang.
I can’t wait to see your version of this, Nate!
I already know some of the answers I want to give, thanks for the tag! Hope all is well. I might have to cheat a little bit though because I did not keep the poetry collection I felt was, at the very least objectively bad--or a just a money-grab.
Ooh I can’t wait to see your version of this! Feel free to cheat ;)
I could listen to you criticize poetry for hours. It may be mean, but it's satisfying.
I'm really gonna have to think about these prompts, digging through my shelves for the worst of the worst. Best of the best is tougher in a different way: an abundance.
Top-tier tag here.
Your version of this is going to be something to relish!
That’s funny, all of your best happen to be my worst. 🤔
Just kidding, I have to think about it.
Would love to see your version, David!
A propos of Salinger, one of my worst books is Franny and Zooey. Has anyone managed to enjoy it? I found it superficial, unoriginal and boring. I’d be delighted to know what I should have found in it.
I enjoyed it years ago but I’m definitely due for a reread! Curious whether my mature reading self will be dazzled or annoyed by Salinger’s undeniable showiness and pretension! Have you read Ian Hamilton’s biography, Searching for JD Salinger? Highly enjoyable quirky book. Thanks for sharing!
