It's weird seeing his real accent, because he buried it completely on the Americans. Couldn't detect it at all. His acting was amazing on that show, too, especially since, given all the disguises, he and Keri were both playing dozens of different characters.

Because I was genuinely curious what would happen if you presented a toddler with the original mister Rogers show (and I don’t mean the episodes I watched when I was a kid which was towards the end of the show but I’m talking about the black and white episodes). But what the show does so well is have the ability to speak about these adult subjects to children but do it in a way to where Mister Rogers never talked down to kids. But rather he just got down to their level. We shall never forget what you did Fred. I don’t think I’ll have children but if I do I’m showing them when their old enough (3ish) an episode or two every morning.

It's also interesting to hear Matthew Rhys as himself for once, I'm a little surprised that (unlike Richard Burton or Anthony Hopkins) he does have a distinct Welsh accent. Although he's being polite, he also seems as edgy as the roles he plays.

Well done, Mr. Rhys. You are a kind man and a great soul to recount Mr. Hanks' befuddlement trying on the role of this generous spirit and explain, "and then I discovered the true genius of Mr. Rogers." Mr. Hanks is also a national icon for us and I'm grateful he made the film and for all the films he's made and/or produced. Kind wishes to you both.

Mr. Rogers - that is such a wonderful heart-warming movie, Tom Hanks is so great and Matthew Rhys at his best: playing a very sensible man, somehow broken and ought to play strong.

@@stelladonaconfredobutler9459 That is 1) not true and 2) makes no sense. How can you be from Britain and not be British? EVERYONE who is from Britain is British. And the nationality of the Welsh is British too as ALL Citizens from the UK/Britain are officially British. The Welsh are the original British from before the English and Scots turned up, so they are MORE British than anyone else on the planet, let alone the Scottish or English. So in 3 separate ways the Welsh are British. They are also Europeans and Earthlings, even those who are stoopid enough to disagree or dislike the idea.

I can't understand the mindset behind someone that feels compelled to step in and "correct" or "inform" other people...with information that is so completely wrong. And, yet, when they're given what most of us consider...IDK..would we even call it common knowledge? Is knowing your left from your right or East from your West common knowledge? My 3 yr old nephew knows what Great Britain is and that people from there are British. Stelladonna, please be embarrassed and turn that embarrassment into a good thing. Go stand in front of the mirror and say to yourself "I don't want to be this moronic fool who mistakes asinine drivel for coherent intelligence" There are times in life where being ashamed and embarrassed are the appropriate response...and for you..this is one of them.
