I just discovered your channel and I am thrilled! I am primarily a mixed media scrapbooker and decided to give art journaling a try. I have been watching a lot of videos and searching Pinterest for ideas. So far I have just experimented making a bunch of papers to use. I’ve had a hard time trying to figure out what style I want to pursue but as I watch you create I’m feeling more like I’m discovering what direction feels like ‘me’. I love watching you combine collage, adding color to the pages along with all the little details that make the page beautiful and complete. Thank you so much for inspiring me to jump in and make some pages now! I’m planning to go back to watch and create along with you for the August page challenges. I’m also looking forward to seeing what you plan to create in the future too!!!

Your page is beautiful, very well balanced and lovely colors. I just finished cutting the paper strips and will do the wayving tomorrow as it's already late. Had fun choosing the magazine pages, seeing the potential in many pages that I actually thought I would throw away. Thank you!

I watched you make the paper weaving and I thought, "Yeah, I'm just going to skip this one." But then I told myself to go ahead and try it because this is all about learning and experimenting. So I did it! I found it very meditative and I ended up loving loving loving the effect.

Good morning! I love this so much! Just an idea - I have found when tearing narrow strips I put my ruler on the narrow part of the paper and use the larger piece to grab and tear. This seems to work better for me. TFS!

how fun! ive never done a paper weaving before. i have magazines but they are mostly for books/movies so not much contrast in them. i might use thin paper instead but i am gonna see if i can find one around here somewhere. i love all the little hearts.

Use your gel prints!! Paint over book pages in shades of colours you love!! Kool~Aid dye papers!! So many options to preserve your magazine stash!! 🎉💞🎉

I must confess I was a bit sceptical at first about the weaving, but it turn out lovely! As usual :) Btw, we do that kind of weaving for a traditional Christmas ornament!

Thank you for another inspiring video. I’ve done paper weaving with brown paper packaging and used it as a background, which gives a very earthy feel to a spread, but for some reason, NEVER even considered using colored magazine paper for the same purpose. I can’t wait to try it out!

When you use decoupage & then use some gesso over it, then paint or paint splatter over that, the decoupage does not stay tacky?
