My first exposure to Loudness was when a friend bought their Thunder In The East album in 1985. Crazy Nights!!!

Loudness was/is AMAZING! 'Thunder In The East' and 'Lightning Strikes' are 2 of the best metal albums EVER! The riffing and lead guitar on these 2 are 'off the scales' mind blowing! And Akira Takasaki's guitar tone.... Jesus H. Christ!

I feel it's important that a first listen be a studio release as the songs are created to be the most sonically enjoyable, and the little sounds that just aren't created live. Besides, the sound quality of liver performances, 9-10 times, just suck.

English is NOT the singers first language in fact their earlier recordings were done in Japaneese , unfortunately the drummer passed away a few years ago , guitarist is a beast one of my all time favorites !! My next request is Queensryche… Walk In The Shadows ( see the theme with Shadows ) lol

Loudness I love this band. They're guitarist so under rated but actually Akira is one of the better guitarist in world. Their album Thunder in the East so awesome.
Akira Takasaki started 1971 with band called Lazy. Guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and Japanese guitarist Hideki Ishima are major influence.

Yngwie and Paul Gilbert, said the guitar player is good! Best Japanese Rock band and guitar player all time! Man the 80s music Rock! The singer English is not his first language but listen to his voice and tone he does have a great voice! The reason why your not a fan of the singer is because is hard to understand his English! But again just listen to his tone and note of his voice!

Check out Kobra and the Lotus and their song "You Don't Know". A very underrated band IMO. ✌

Come on Dad treat her to a band you haven't reacted to yet I suggest Korn "Black is the Soul" it's melodic hard driving metal with a great video

An old favourite of mine from Loudness was 'Heavy Chains' - the song structure and guitar work (of course) just really got me ... and his voice works better with that one I think. This is the official video th-cam.com/video/Pl1vhqaRvTM/w-d-xo.html
Don't forget to try Babymetal again, here is something different to the last one you did - Megitsune (live at Metrock 2015 - you would probably have to mute this and/or do a link & sync as it is on Dailymotion) www.dailymotion.com/video/x5i834z

I'm thinking that Van Halen albums must have been pretty readily available in Japan in the late 70s/early 80s. This guitarist is obviously influenced by Eddie. I vaguely remember them back in the 80s. Talented band but they sounded like most everyone else back then. I agree with Kay the guitar was definitely the best part of the song. A new song suggestion for you ( I know you guys are tired of me requesting Love? By Strapping Young lad) How about The Coma Machine by Between the Buried and Me.
