Starting in Wazir Bagh, a small mohalla in Kashmir, Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s life has been well and truly unscripted. Over the last forty years, he has blazed a trail in Hindi cinema-even going on to direct a film in Hollywood. From someone who once released his student film though it was incomplete, because he ran out of money and film stock, he now has the distinction of heading one of the key production houses in India, VVC Films. Not only is he a film-maker par excellence, but he has also nurtured some of the brightest talents in the Hindi film industry, including directors Rajkumar Hirani, Pradeep Sarkar and Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Moved by what he said at the end. "You cannot be happy in isolation. If you think you can create grief for everybody, and be happy, it is impossible. Because we are all connected. That's the mistake we make- greed, money will never make you happy. Tujhe dukh hoga toh mujhe dukh kaise nahi hoga? It is the joy and happiness of everybody around you, therefore for "selfish" reasons, you should make them happy." How beautifully he connects to life, amazing interview.

I watched unscripted video on vinod chopra sirs TH-cam channel 3 days back. And i m kind of addicted to his personality and character. God what an energy, purity, sense of humour, humility, vision, that constant smile. What great things he achieved and experienced. He is beautiful from inside. May god bless this pure soul for more than 100 years. Will order the book unscripted. It will reach in a remote village in telangana. Love u vinod chopra sir.

Vidhu had just graduated from the Film Institute and my wife wrote the script for his first short film. Earned Rs 200/_ from it. The film was shot in our flat in Bombay. At that time he and his crew ate us out of home and hearth. There was a limit on electricity use also at that time, and she was scared his camera equipment was consuming it all. :-)

I have seen interviews of many people including Vidhu Vinod Chopra's previous one's..
He is a very misunderstood person..
Its human nature to be judgemental about people who speak their minds as they are not pleasant to interact with..
Vinod chopra calls spade a spade & hence is unpopular in mumbai film circle where it's all about scratching each other's back..
The words that came out in this interview was from a person who has seen a lot of difficult times in life, achieved more than what most people could imagine & at the same time also was grateful about his journey..
40 mins well spent with lot of trivia, nostalgia & some very important lessons for life to be learnt ..
Wht a life chopra had , lk advani story is the most fascinating, unbelievable this is talent ,kangna, or Karan Johar should learn from him
Kangana has often mentioned him as somebody she looks upto.. Karan johar does not have the capacity to learn this..
The selfish jokers ,khans, bhatts Kapoor's, dawan's and adi Chopra who call themselves family making hay out of others lives and eliminating them should learn what humility is. Those nepokids and their attitudes , no end.

Mr. Joshi - I am a big big fan of your movies and had said these same words when I had met you in LA - I had never seen your picture anywhere before and hence when Vidhu Vinod sir called out to you, I turned around and asked you if you are "The Abhijat Joshi" and you nodded with a kinda sheepish smile on your face. Wow, It was indeed great meeting you both. Congratulations for the book and look forward to many many more great films coming out of the collaboration between the two of you and Mr. Raju Hirani.
