Thanks so much. The main drain at my mum's was blocked and we were faced with an expensive after-hours callout on Christmas Day or Boxing Day. I watched your video and managed to buy a hand-held drum augur from the local hardware store before it closed. I didn't hold out much hope, since the drain was a big outside drain (maybe five or six inches in diameter), not a three-inch sink drain, it seemed blocked solid, and the augur wasn't very thick. After 20 minutes nothing had happened, but I remembered your advice and tried again, feeding six inches in at a time, and suddenly the drain just emptied. Watching that water level go down was so satisfying. I really appreciate your help.

This is the best video explaining the use of a drain snake properly. The others were vague about what to do at the bend or during extraction. Some videos even wrongly suggested rotating it in reverse during extraction, making the snake kinking or stuck!

WE are in a lockdown in Canada and my sister has a clogged sink, she bought a drain cleaning auger but I could not teach her because she lives in another city, I am so glad I landed on you with your great instructions, I am quite pleased that she would be able to follow your instructions to the letter. Congratulation on this great video and bravo for being a great teacher.
