OMG! This looks sick, I am freaking love it! I used to have an old Roland kit which I loved, but you are right, the original cymbals were teeny-tiny like toys. They look beautiful and I love the plug and play compatibility.
@@AudiomoMusic Just make sure you upgrade the boom stand arms to something a bit more durable like Gibraltar if you use the 18 inch cymbals, as crashes. Lesson learned (luckily I'm right near Sweetwater, 10 min away).
One small thing I notice right at the beginning of the video, even the packaging inside looks nice, all cardboard actually designed not something just thrown in the box with styrofoam. Thank you for your review!
I have a td-17kvx2. I like the cymbals. However I changed out the rack for the one that comes with the td-27 and used other parts of mine to add on to it. I also put my snare on a stand and upgraded the floor tom. I love this kit now.
Looks great! I've been using the Lemon brand 18" ride with a TD-15 module, it works fine enough, but it's loud as all heck in the room. For the quietness alone, the Simmons looks like a no-brainer.
That was by far the most surprising part to me, since they're just triggers and the end sounds were going to be the same i expected a difference in feel but an increase in sound. The fact these are so quite but do feel much better really is the best selling point to me honestly
Normally I don’t like gold, but they look really nice, the set looks way more premium compared the originals. I would make them black & gold to stand out even more :)
They definitely have a more high-end feel compared to the originals on top of the looks which is killer. Wouldn't be too tough to go black and gold on them either!
Hey boss, I got a Titan 50 which you know has single zone cymbals. You telling me I can swap any of them out with any of these using the same wiring and it’ll become triple zone???
@AudiomoMusic No, it doesn't. I just got mine and it only gives you an open hi hat sound all the time. For whatever reason it doesn't trigger the plastic hi hat attachment thing Alesis gives you with a Strike Pro SE. I put the Alesis rubber one back on and it works fine.

They feel great and it was so easy to just swap cymbals and get to playing!
Awesome review! I fully plan on picking these up for my own kit!
They’re great, let me know what you think after you get them set up!
Thanks for the test. Based on your tests, bought three 18 inch cymbals to act as crashes to add to my Alesis Strike Pro SE. They are amazing.
Those 18"s are truly game changers! I'm happy I could help you make the decision

Nice video Jim
Appreciate the kind words Rex!

It’s the little things that make a big difference right?

Sounds like a solid upgrade to your kit!

Wow, I'm surprised you didn't have to dive into settings to tweak velocity curves and whatnot! Nice when it's a straight-up swap.
That also kinda shocked me too, I was expecting to have to tweak in the settings big time but it really was plug and play.
Great review! Thanks.
Happy you enjoyed it cheers
Hell yeah man.
thanks man
Takes a deep breath, expecting usual answer... How compatible would these be with Yamaha modules?
I will get a definitive answer for this by testing it myself, give me a day or two
The noise in the room is the same that the regular cymbals. What do you think ??
It’s really close, but I expected the Simmons to be substantially louder which surprised me

I think with the Titan 50 the module is going to hold you back from three zones, but it will let you have two of em.
Let’s be honest, the 5 minutes it took to replace the cymbals was 1 minute removing and placing the cymbals, the rest was unscrewing the wing nut off.
100%
Yo, does the 13 work with other sets too as hi hats? I just found a Alesis SE kit and hoping it works like that hi hat as well since it is a single
It does, I filmed a video I haven’t edited yet showing just that!
@AudiomoMusic Cool, thx. I'll be watching 👀

Curious to know how they actually work as a hi hat swap as suggested they can be. I have an alesis strike pro. Any insite? Thanks!
Working on a short video testing that out specifically!
@@AudiomoMusic awesome ..looking forward to it!
The acoustic noise seems to be lower pitch witc his less annoying atleast to me
Yep, even my wife noticed that and was happy about it
Does anyone know if these cymbals will work with a td02 kv kit
They will work with the td02 👍🏼
