Better to invest in the S&P 500, compared to the Nasdaq 100, and DJIA 30, because it's a more WIDER market, compared to the Nasdaq, and DJIA, and most of the stocks in the Nasdaq, and DJIA are also present in the S&P 500, so DUPLICATION can be avoided.

Awesome video. love how you explain it. Question do other total stock makert own all the stocks similar to VTSAX. For example fidelity total stock makert index fund?
Yes... Fidelity's total market index funds (e.g. FSKAX and FZROX) will contain nearly identical stocks and perform nearly identically to VTSAX. You would pick one over the other primarily by which brokerage you use and they generally charge a fee to buy competing brokerages funds.

Question please, if I max out my Roth IRA each year with S and P 500, the little money I have remaining would it be ok to put the rest in Nasdaq? Or should I invest in another S and P 500 index fund?
Sure! But I think a more holistic strategy would be to diversify to non-US stocks instead of to the Nasdaq which is a smaller US market.
It's really up to you, both are honestly fine options. The main thing to remember is to leave the money in the index fund and add to it on a consistent basis. Whether you do that with a NASDAQ or S&P 500 fund won't matter as much as consistency. Personally I'm invested in both

The S&P, The Nasdaq, The Russel, The Dow Jones, SPY & TSLA etc. They've all failed since the beginning of 2022. The S&P lost about 13-14 percent and more since the beginning of the year. And Because of that there are a lot of opportunities that you can take if you are willing to profit from the market.
My only advice for you is that you need an FA. My advisor is *"ROCHELLE DUNGCA-SCHREIBER".* In terms of portfolio diversity, she's a genius. You can glance her name up on the internet and verify her yourself. she has years of financial market experience.

As a Canadian would you suggest investing directly in the US stock market.
I currently hold VFV which is an index ETF that tracks the SP 500. I think the US equivalent is VOO
I know that currency is different in Canada
