Thank you for sharing your story, I really needed to hear this. I'm currently in the hospital for pre-eclampsia at 32w2d pregnant while they try to control my blood pressure so that we can hopefully make it to 34 weeks before they induce me. Like you, I have always had low blood pressure, even with my first pregnancy and throughout this pregnancy until my last OB appt when it spiked suddenly. They took me in for more monitoring and sure enough, pre-eclampsia. I'm so thankful to God that I happened to have an OB appt when I did and that they caught it, and like you I feel this strengthening my faith and reliance on God, but it can be hard with so many unknowns and worrying about the journey ahead with a preemie. So I truly thank you for sharing your faith and testimony, it has refreshed my spirit as I lay here unable to go to church this Sunday. God bless.
Praise the Lord for this testimony! I gave birth to my son last week at 31 weeks and 6 days due to severe preeclampsia. Praying for the Lord to continue to heal us both and expedite my baby’s growth and government
I too had my daughter at 32 weeks a few days ago. I stumbled across this video and it reminded me of my experience and making the choice to have a C-Section and the emotions that came along with it. Thank you for sharing your experiences. Thank you for letting me know I was not alone.❤❤❤
Wow. I’m so happy I came across your video tonight. I just watched a handful before yours and all they did was instill the spirit of fear in me, when the whole point of me searching tonight was to grasp some hope and peace about a future healthy pregnancy. I had a healthy pregnancy when I was 20 years old. I was induced at 41 weeks, my daughter was healthy and perfect! Fast forward 6 months later and my husband and I tried for baby #2. It worked immediately! When I was 37.5 weeks pregnant I was diagnosed with preeclampsia. I was only at the doctor that day because I hadn’t felt my son move in a few days and he was not doing kick counts! So they did a stress test and ultrasound and sent me home. I got a call from my OB just like you did to review the information and she informed me that my son was not practicing his breathing or moving enough so I need to go to the Hospital ASAP . I had high blood pressure, Black large spots in my vision, light headed, feeling super heavy, protein in my urine and side pain. I stayed overnight to do multiple ultrasounds and a 24 hour urine collection and he was still not passing his ultrasounds. It was the worse time of my life to not know what was happening to my baby at 38 weeks pregnant. He had a strong heartbeat but was motionless. I was induced that next morning, the process took nearly 2 days though but my son was born healthy and beautiful. It gave me severe postpartum anxiety about him. I felt like something bad was going to happen constantly. Anyways, my son is now almost 4 years old and the love of my life. He’s my daughters whole world and best friend (they are only 14 months apart so they are all they’ve ever known) and I constantly think about how blessed I am and how God gave me my son to raise. This was a God moment. All glory to Him! Now the time has come where my anxieties have settled more and I’m considering trying for another baby but I cannot get over the fear. It’s coming back at me big time and I’m realizing how lucky I am to even be alive and be able to raise BOTH my children. I feel like I’m being ignorant and wreckless. Question: will you try for another child after your experience with preeclampsia? God bless you and your family
Thanks for sharing your story! To answer your question, I will still likely try for another child if this is what my husband and I would like to pursue, even with my experience with preeclampsia. The one thing that will be different this time is we will be more careful to monitor the pregnancy closely and take all the precautions/recommendations given to us by the obstetrician. God be with you!
