I actually live up by Joplin, Missouri but they only have two flights per day on United Express CRJ-200's. So, I usually elect to drive down to Tulsa for most of my trips. No they haven't. I don't typically sit next to kids, and if there are kids near me, they typically don't try to talk to me. If they do I don't often notice as I have my headphones on. Occasionally someone will ask, but it's probably 1 out of ever 25 flights and it's never been a kid.
Wow, the Microsoft Flight Simulator looks so real. :) Seriously, I love your videos. How do you mount the camera? I assume you are not holding it the entire time?
I am indeed holding it the whole time. iPhones have amazing video quality, but they are not designed as "action cameras." This means they are very susceptible to vibrations. Vibrations that fill the screen with jitters and ripples. The only way you an avoid this is to completely separate the camera from the plane. I.e., no mounting it anywhere on the plane, including the window. There's only one way to do that. Hold it by hand.
