Finally.... Thank you pastor... We've needed this sermon. I'm sorry that he was your friend but it's great to know that you are not a respecter of persons and that you love God more than you love a friend.
Pastor Berzins is the real deal. I was fortunate to have him for my pastor for a couple years. I know we don't agree on everything, but this man and his family are genuine and godly. I am so thankful for this man. There are few that would've handled the spiritual uphill battle that is Prescott Valley, but he pressed on and didn't stop until every door was knocked. A great man committed to the Lord's work.
@Michael Thomas No, I agree with this sermon wholeheartedly, and doctrinally speaking I agree with the vast majority of everything pastor Berzins preaches. We have small differences in understanding and perspective, but it's not fundamental or critical doctrine. He's a great bible teacher.
@@OmegaRonY He was there for over three years (maybe 4 I'm not sure) and it was just unreceptive. The church knocked all the doors, but attendance was pretty stagnant. At a certain point it made sense for him to ask himself if he shouldn't go somewhere different. There were definitely people saved and some good things happened, but I think he made the right and biblical decision to go where they might receive the word.

Thank you Pastor... I know first hand he didn't engage or fellowship with us in the congregation. Something was off since the day I met him. I just wish people could feel more at ease speaking out when they feel it's needed.
What you said @ 3 minutes is amazing to me. I was thinking the exact same thing. Whether whatever you think of me, I don't know how he could have stood up and preached so hard against the very things he was doing @ that time and standing behind the pulpit without any fear. I would fear that I'd be stricken down right then. I'd be quaking and shaking in fear if I had done the those things while preaching!

That was an excellent connection you made with scripture to introduce the sermon and bring it together. I can't really explain why but hearing you preach what is devasting my wife and I, in regards to Romeros grievous, selfish and HATEFUL SINS made us actually feel better. I really need to take heed lest I fall or be like a dog returning to my own vomit. I have been in and around the IFB “movement” since 1991, one thing I have noticed and seen/heard from the pulpit(s) is that whatever the pastor/preacher speaks on the most, is the struggle they themselves are dealing with. It seems to be an inward turmoil with their own sin, that the only way they can “deal’ with it is to speak on those particular sin(s) in hoping to cast light on others issues and in so doing, removing any “doubts” about their own, by those they lead.

@Strong Hold Baptist Church- It shows that Romero not only mislead his church and family, but he hurt Christianity therefore people may not come to the Saving knowledge of Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior because of former pastor Romero. I thought repentance is works? I've heard pastor Anderson say this. Didn't Jesus Christ save a woman caught in the act of adultery? I think he told her that he has not condemned her go and sin no more. You're the man of God here not me, it just raises questions in me and Jesus Christ forgiving sin and to what extent. Is it because he's a pastor that he's reprobate? Is he reprobate?

You’re better off in a Calvinist church with decent pastors than in an IFB church with criminal pastors. I thought repentance is works? I've heard pastor Anderson say this. Didn't Jesus Christ save a woman caught in the act of adultery? I think he told her that he has not condemned her go and sin no more. You're the man of God here not me, it just raises questions in me and Jesus Christ forgiving sin and to what extent.
