I've never seen anyone re-root with curly hair so this was very informative. I also like that the pieces are already in their little clusters.

Thank-you! Perfect timing! Thinking of customizing a selfie doll, but I would definitely need to reroot for curls. 🥰

Is there a pattern for curly? Like every other hole or something? I am making a mini-me and I have super curly longer hair, but it looks too thick on my barbie doll when I use every hole. Thanks!

So could I get curly for easy reroot then straighten it?

Yes. All nylon can be re-styled with hot and cold water methods. The melting point is about 180° F. The hair will hold whatever style it's in when hot, after it's cooled down. Best way to set quickly is with ice water.

You can skip the knotting part, it takes way too much time.

I agree that it is not required to do the crossover before picking up the plug. It does however create a little knot and stays in harder heads, like Brats and Integrity without requiring the plugs be glued. So it's just because a habit with how we prefer to reroot. Many people just fold the hair in half and pick up the loop with the needle. That method works just fine.

@@DollPlanetHair Makes sense. I have no experience rooting Non-Barbie dolls. With Barbie reroots, just stabbing the hair fiber in and glueing in the end has given me no issues.

Oh this is good to know cause watching this I was thinking I’ll need to do knots with each strand but sounds like I can just glue after ❤️🤗
