Fun fact: The police AI is coded so well that they do almost all of the things real cops do. They will ram players, perform pit moves, create road blocks, and even lay down spike strips in order to attack the player, all determined by the wanted level of the player. They also do a lot more.

They're not really coded well though. They can speed up to any car, even if it's the fastest car in the game, and ram you. (Speed hacks) and the helicopters are coded so well that when you blow up one of them, another one spawns right next to it 3 seconds later. Cops also never arrest you unless you have 1 star. Otherwise, their main priority is just to shoot you down.
Galaxi they’re coded well, just poorly executed. They’re very smart, but also have a lot of behind the scenes bs

Some cars do actually have bulletproof windows in the game, but with a couple of clips you can easily break them.

The armored car drivers were taken in the van and became hostages.

16:08 Trevor has good reason to be so hostile towards Michael. Nine years prior Michael betrayed his friends to save his own ass and sold them out to the feds. One crewman named Brad got shot and died while Michael faked his death and went under witness protection. Trevor managed to narrowly escape.
Trevor greatly mourned his death and even has a tattoo on his one arm in remembrance for his dead best friend, only to find out nine years later Michael was still alive and betrayed him.
He got good reason to be questioning is loyalty. You would too.
As for Lester he has a wasting disease hence why he has to use a cane to get around, he is not exactly what you would call qualified for gunfights on the field. What he brings to the table is his brilliant mind on coming up with multiple approaches for every heist target for the team to decide to do. They all refer to him on how best to proceed. He is the mastermind and the others are agents that carry out said plan.
