I wish we could put in a music track. especially for the silent film era. get some ragtime piano going, some dramatic suspense music. things like that.
Hi! Great stuff. Apropos of the shooting order, you can determine that in the product creator. You set the order when assigning sets. Aside from that, I love seeing this from a pros pov, fascinating and informative. Thank you!
Charlie, starting with the medium set you replaced, and all the ones after... you didn't edit them after making them to add in lights, and better cameras :p
This has been strangely fun to watch you just go deep into editing lol, Hopefully this game gets some big updates as it seems like the skeleton is there for it.
Enjoyed this a lot. They REALLY need to hurry up and add animations (all with a checkbox for if we want it to loop or not) and more sounds. Like you, I started in the 20's, so I don't know if the choices increase but I don't think they do.
Animation choices? No. They don’t. But a lot more stuff becomes possible with research. Just not with the creative side of the game. You’ll see in next video… starting in 1920 sucks.
@@CharliePryor Yeah, I'm in year 2 and I can't feed any of my stars as the research for better food is years away. Considering restarting in the 30's when I can at least meet their needs.

The tutorial goes over stunts I think you need to hire a stunt guy but if I remember you need to unlock it in like 1927 I want to say but I’m probably wrong there are a lot of tutorials I went through lol
When playing I saw that Comedy with anything is is really good if you can get 75+ and if you get below keep reshooting it and it works every time - I make 5+ Million on every movie I have only done 10 movies so far and I don't have to do anything I let the people in the game do it and it does the same number each time no matter if I do it or not
@@CharliePryor I really enjoyed that part because it showed your knowledge and skills in filmmaking. I can understand from a content creators perspective doing that takes too much time. Maybe you can balance it out every other video do something like that.
The thing is, this editing process changes nothing about the ratings. It’s purely for the player… which is understandable, but it also makes doing it less rewarding.
same problem the original movies had. spent time and resources on a crippled editing suite, that could have been spent on making the game itself more interesting. sad to see they copied the weak parts of the original game too.
As I should be. I bet you are more critical of elements in games that pertain to marketing/advertising as well. We always see the world through our own eyes, after all. 😃

Stuntmen are locked behind time progression, yes.
you need the upgrade cameras & lights on all the new sets

also funny that the camera belongs to the set. i'm pretty sure they do not, considering how expensive those cameras truly are.

The more I see of this game the more it feels like half a game or a beta version that got released.
Hopefully these videos will motivate the company to fix the game.
How many scenes can you have per movie? I remember in The Movies (2005) you could add as many scenes as you want.. is this the same?

You're killing me man, 3 of your sets don't have upgraded cameras or lights.
No, two of them don’t… and it makes very little difference in this first year anyways.

There are upgrades in the first set. Just not the last one I made, yeah.
