Thanks for putting this together, helpful to know you have to turn on the feature. I wanted to see if it can work with budgeting but doesn't look like it would allow budgeting by project.
How can I record a refund that will show up as a credit in the Project? When I receive a deposit check from a vendor it only prompts for the class and not the customer/project. So, it will only show up when I get a Profit by Class and NOT the Project. Ugh.
Absolutely an excellent video. I am using jobs for grant tracking and reporting as the process is very similar to a job. Projects looks much cleaner but is missing the budgeting functionality which none of my nonprofits use anyway. I would love to move to projects for grants but the inability to go back scares me.
great, I was wondering if I'd ever get my "sub-customer" info into the new projects feature. I set up projects as sub-customers in 2017 per QBO recommendation on how to hack a project in QBO. Hopefully Intuit will add the feature to track fixed fee and percentage complete project tracking like Deltek products.
1. Open an invoice; click on the button on the right-hand side of the invoice to open the "drawer". The drawer will list, and allow you to add all billable expenses/time for a particular project. 2. I would need to see the actual QBO file to determine the cause.
yes, there is. You can merge a current subcustomer into a project created under the same parent customer. Check community.intuit.com/articles/1549960-quickbooks-online-projects
Honestly, I'm not sure. It's possible if you're outside the U.S., it is only available for U.S. versions of QuickBooks Online. Another possibility is you aren't using the Plus version of QuickBooks Online. I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's only available with the Plus version. To know for sure why it isn't showing up in your setting I would need to look at your file.

Thanks for this video,
how do you compile all billable expenses/time in a project to a single invoice?

How many projects can we create? is there any maximum limit?
Is there a way to assign an invoice you already created before turning projects on to a project?
No, I don't believe so.

We are going to migrate to Quickbooks. Is it possible to upload existing projects, just project codes and names linked to customers??
are these on excel spreadsheets? if so, you can import them
Great video. Easy to follow.

Can you assign Projects to a sub customer or only Customer?
I believe you can assign Projects to both customers and sub customers.
Thanks making this video it's very helpful for me or other.
