Still got my vinyl of the original, which I protect at all costs 😉 but this is also heavyweight business. What an era. DnB will always evolve, but the 90s was the pinnacle.
Imo the tune of the ep...yeah the pulse remix was sick but for me,it's rare you can start, finish,a set with the same tune.....trace .....big up! Shaped who I am ❤
@@bencool8239 With the greatest of respect, DnB wasn’t invented in the 2000s - it was its own scene by 1995, after Jungle had gone mainstream circa ‘94. Sonar came out in ‘98 on Prototype - if you re-read my message you’ll see I was initially talking about the original. That and Mutant Revisited in ‘96 are Trace’s masterpieces imho. If you want to be anal about it, those tunes are both Techstep, which evolved from DnB in ‘96. It was around that point that Trace sadly lost his peak slot on Kool FM with Ryme Tyme, as they weren’t playing Jungle by then.
Love all four tunes on this release. The Pulse 2000 sounds a bit rough around the edges, everything else is solid. I got a copyright strike for the Codename John (Grooverider) Track from this EP a few years ago.
great track, good amount of elements etc, love how sorta unapologetically simple it is in the arrangement, nasty tramen just drops right in full bore, then a few bars later that big 'fuck off' bass does the same thing haha
Jesus Christ!! this is sooo 🔥 🔥 🔥 🔥
Morning has broken
I used to play this back in the days on pirate radio! what a track!!
Sick as fuk,, can't beat this era of tunes they don't make them like this anymore.. My favourite era is 1996 - 99 by far
Call it tech step call it whatever but above all respect the amen

Love the mellow vibe of the stabs with the intense evil reece bass. Symptom of the best tunes I think, sweet with the sour.
