Perfection, no shit, this track is the best DnB track ever...if not the best piece of music I've ever heard. Always said so, got it on vinyl and caned it.
Shining from St. King revived 2 the rhythm of audio never expected in 1999. This was real breakthrow in style, never copied, immortal, although decades past. My sincere respect to duo, who i keep in my heart since childhood🤝🏻❤️
Matrix Fierce Ed Rush & Optical pretty much are the embodiment of drum & bass. They are the lead progenitors of the culture, defined boundaries that haven't really been tested and broke new sonic ground more so than almost any other genre of music or sound arrangement. That and producing seminal albums for both Goldie & Grooverider kind of puts them in an untouchable place for me really.
Hold on, wait.....Ed Rush & Optical ghost-wrote for Grooverider? I know Goldie didnt produce his own tunes but never heard that about Grooverider. Makes sense though
@@stampatron Yes, pretty sure Matrix was involved in the production of GRs Mysteries of Funk also. You can hear the Virus influence in the cybernetic funk. I love Matrix even more than ER&O. Tip top boss man sound all round tho!!!
I can’t help returning to this one again and again. Every sound, every element sits in the right place. Forever holds a place in my heart and the hazy memories of those good old days of raving. Sublime.
This is such a ubiquitous drum and bass track from the most awesome producers, thank you Ed Rush and Optical, This is my most favourite D&B choon of all time !
One of the best tracks ever written.
if you mean dnb tracks, I definitely agree
@@IWitnessDnB no genre can compare, this is the sound of the future.
I agree strongly
Definitely up there with the best... These boys were well ahead of their time from the start, some 30 or so years ago

Agreed!
I miss that sound so much, truly a golden era for DNB
It’s untouchable!!
I was there, The End, Fabric, Bagleys. I was there. When we all danced. London was a good thing back then.
This is the kind of tune that makes other tunes think "I wanna be just like that when I grow up".
Such a tune, those years really were the golden era. I remember trying to chew my ear on many occasions when this dropped 🤣
at 46, i know and understand that dnb isn’t written like this no more, i love drumandbass
Deadly
1st second, i allready knew that im gonna looove it!!!
Masterpiece
i miss the old dnb days much more than my own youth !

@@stampatron Optical alone wrote the Grooverider album and remixes. Ed Rush or Matrix were not involved.

Under rated tune in the history books of dnb
Some serious business there boiy
Timeless 🔥🔥🔥what an absolute stomper !! Don’t get tunes like this anymore ....
Optical was way more advanced on production than before it’s time had come, this being one of the many he produced. Timeless classic 💚
Dope track ! I’m a electro bass guy. But I love me some Dnb ! I wouldn’t sell this record for 1000 dollars.
What a killer tune!
Back in the day this track took me.

Probably most complex Ed Rush&Optical track ever.
You can't possibly beat Watermelon with Gas Mask a close second.
@@Kagekivx they are also in the top.
Correction: it's watermelon that is most complex. Proof: th-cam.com/video/Vrvu3dcWrvY/w-d-xo.html
Anything on The Creeps is more "complex" than this.
Gotta be 1997/98?
@@PhilGudd released in 1999 but probably made in 1998 so yes 😀
@@IWitnessDnB made in Soho in early 1998
