Holiness is an advantage to a true believer
When devil brings accusations in the court of heaven, you remain victorious and liberated without stress.

So what is the meaning of Matthew 7:21-23? Why will Jesus say to some people who called Him Lord they should depart from Him and He never knew them, if it's the case that only those who rejected Christ Jesus on earth are those who go to Hell?

Mark the words "I never knew you."
These simply means, they have never had any relationship with God
These are unbelievers who did all the miracles, prophesies and such in the Name of Jesus but not the true Jesus. They we're never born again

@@beatricemaina742Exactly, because even the Egyptians performed miracles. So, performing miracles does not imply we are children of God.

    Absolute error!
Jesus said Matthew 5:8 (KJV) Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God. Pure in heart here is holiness. And it is by our holy living through the grace of God that grants us eternal life to see God when we depart this world.
Psalms 24:3-4 (KJV) Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Still talking about seeing God and dwelling with Him in His Holy habitation.
Now, Hebrews 12:14 (KJV) Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: the former part has already talked about the conduct "PEACE with all men" the latter part is our responsibility and role as a believer and as the only condition to seeing God on that final day. It is not about our conduct or character and how we relate with people for them to see God in us. Damina shouldn't be afraid to rightfully dissect the word of life. Sweet mouth talk doesn't make believers grounded in faith, only the whole truth inspired by the Holy Spirit does.

"And it is by our holy living through the grace of God that grants us eternal life to see God when we depart this world". Segun does this really make sense to you?
Eternal life is the seal of the spirit of God that is granted to you by grace once you accept the gospel.
It's called 'grace' because you do not deserve it. It's called grace because its a gift.
If you got it by works (not telling lies, not stealing, not fornicating) then it will be called a reward not a gift. Grace/salvation/eternal life is the work of a sinless man, Jesus, not your work.

@@ChimaChindaDev I can see where you are coming from and how you have the wrong motive of the work of grace. The grace of God you are talking about is well explained in the book of Titus 2:11-12 (KJV) For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live. soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world. You can see from the text above that the GRACE is not just ordinary but teaches that it instructs us and helps us that is keeping us in check.
From ur own illustration it is as if you are rendering that grace useless and it gives you liberty to do whatever you like to do without any consequences and also having the hope of eternal salvation even because of that grace.
When you comment on a spiritual matter like this always support it with verses in the scriptures and not just use head knowledge which is unprofitable.
Wisdom is always profitable to direct.

Once Saved Always Saved John 3:16, 10:28 Amp, Romans 8:32-.....,Hebrews 7:25, 19:12. Nothing can ever make a Christian loose his or her salvation, and by this I don't mean they should sin Since in Hebrews 12 he is saying they won't see God in us as Believer's,,we didn't attain Salvation by works but it was by Grace through faith in The Gospel of Jesus , So therefore salvation is the finished work of Jesus,
I Think in that Hebrews 12 , what is disturbing you is holiness , Holiness doesn't mean sinlessness it means set apart , put aside......
You did nothing to qualify for salvation therefore you can do nothing to disqualify yourself.

@@ogwalmorish7487 your write-up remains vague and of no substance. Read your Bible with understanding and allow the Holy Spirit to rightly interpret and divide the word of life with you and not with this vague explanation that holds no water.
Have you ever read in the Bible that we should work our our salvation with fear and trembling? Philippians 2:12:14.
