I'm glad the anime doesn't look drastically different than season 1. But more importantly, im glad the composer is the same. The OST for this anime is beautiful.
After watching the episode and reading the comments, I think it is safe to say Hayase and her descendants are to Fushi what the Joestars are to Dio (granted the good and evil sides are reversed here).

i was hoping we wouldn't see her again so she'd be one of the few people to survive her encounter with Fushi. Now she's here and has poison resistance, that's too useful a skill for the plot not to off her in some way for Fushi to get it
Every time he transforms, the form he takes resets to the state it was initially in. So the only way to build up resistances and keep it is to either never transform ever again, or obtain a poison-resistant body to transform into.
Fushi looks so old in his base form... Does that mean that for a few years now, he has been fighting off nokkers in just his base form? Since it reverts to initial state when he transforms. If so, then his base form must be op in combat now.
Again another anime this fall season that reminds me of Zen Wisteria from Snow White with Red Hair / Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 1st: Bibliophile Princess --> Prince Christopher being strong in both mind & body for his princess + for his title to his kingdom vs. Zen's for his title to his kingdom 2nd: To Your Eternity Season 2 --> Tonari's poison immunity to treat/protect her patients + Fushi vs. Zen's to avoid any potential assassination attempts
