3/4 oz jighead with a 4' pink paddletail or jerk minnow works best for them. Next best thing is a white chisel nose plug. But you have to be there at sunrise or sunset. You gonna struggle with the sun already that high.
You should try to change the action to one hop off the ground and back down till it touches and then another hop. This action you do works well for other fish and sometimes for garrick too but just try to play with it. Another thing is garrick seem to like more natural colours especially in clear water. Brown, orange and green is better than pink for them. Easiest way to catch them is probably a walk the dog style topwater, for smaller ones and a bucktail for the bigger ones. Cid shiversticks are like cheating when fishing for them too.
@@WRFishing will do, I'm staying at a friend's house. I'm hoping to find a half day or full day charter for the lagoon, or maybe hire a little boat/kayak, or walk the bridge. Bridge might get boring for three days though. Here in PE we have X3 Swartkops charters that take 1-4 people on the river. I myself have a little boat. I was thinking of taking my boat with me but I don't know where to get a lagoon/river license, and for three days probably won't be worth it as i only go to Knysna once a year. I do only lure fishing, bucktails, shiver sticks, surface and sub surface, metal jigs, plugs, soft plastics, poppers and Viber's. Rod I currently use is a Noeby 8.6f fast action,5-25grams and an Okuma 4000 with 9 strand braid rated at 20pd. Thickness of braid is 0.10mm.
Howzit meneer do you thonk you could help me out here, myslef and my team are representing kzn in january next year for fishing and its going to cost alot of money is there any way you can ask township hyper to maybe give my team deals and stuff on tackle, thank you meneer have a lekka day
