HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! I can't believe IT IS 2022 and I thought there would be NO BETTER WAY to kick off the New Year with a come thrift with me for all of the home decor trends we can expect to see in 2022. From lighting to wood decor to furniture pieces, thrift stores and antique stores can often times be a one-stop shop to a creating a beautiful atmosphere and aesthetic home. In this video, I share with you how I prioritize my search as well as how and WHY I style things the way I do. If nothing else, I hope this video provides you with a general outline of things you might want to look out for the next time you go thrifting and shop sustainably!

You're one of the few creators where I click on thumbs up before I even watch the video! You can always be counted on for great ideas and DIY projects. I love your advice to think of three places a piece could go before buying it, so simple but wise! How did you disinfect things like cutting boards, fabric and books before using them?
Awe thank you so much Ellen!!! For the cutting board I usually just hand wash with soapy water and for the book I just use this Lysol aerosol spray!! Hope that helps!!

I guess the "dark brown crock vase" you're styling with the large ombre one is a Sauerkraut barrel with missing lid. You fill water in the rim, so the gas can kind of bubble out, but no air will go inside. Just to let you know. Greetings from Germany!

I just discovered your videos a week or so ago and I love your content. Did you study to be an interior designer? Your ideas and staging of your rooms is outstanding! I tend to lean farmhouse(ish) in my decorating, but I worry about it getting too kitschy. The ideas you have that are more modern, with clean lines give me great inspiration of ways to mix decor styles.

Love everything you shared here! For sure, thrift stores in my area mostly suck, but you inspired me to check them out again - for the first time in several years due to escalating, crazy-high prices for donated/used stuff. I found a Salvation Army that has terrific prices, similar to 8-10 years ago, and have snagged a few good items from there in the past month.

I love your videos Fia! The odd basket things I would use them to cover the front of electronics on a tv stand. I am actually looking for something to camouflage my electronics without blocking the signal.
I am amazed not only of the items you find but at the price of the items. All we have in our area is Savers. I have actually found Dollar Tree items there for $1.99. The prices there are ridiculous.

Hi love your videos and the great ideas now I give more credit to stuff in the thrift stores as for the baskets i think maybe there is a rope on each side and the baskets hang from the loops on each end if it makes any sens😂

My thrift store is overpriced. A lot of the items are retail price, sometimes higher than retail 🤦🏾♀️.
I stopped thrifting furniture because of bedbugs although I did enjoy it. How do you deal with bedbugs when you buy a piece of furniture such as the wooden chairs and even lamps? Also, how to you get rid of that typical "thrift store" smell that seems to permeate all fabrics? I could not find a solution to these two major problems and would love your take on it!
As far as thrifted lamps go, most of them should be rewired just in case. The good thing is they can be rewired very easily by an amateur. They sell kits at the hardware store that include instructions.
