Replacing a CX9 rear bearing without any control arm removal.

  • I had to replace the rear bearing in a 2010 Mazda CX-9, but I didn't want to remove the entire assembly to do it. So, I found a way to remove it with a long Torx socket.
    There wasn't a lot of room to work behind everything, but at least I didn't have to remove anything more than just the bearing. Most of the bolt removal was accomplished by "feeling" with the long Torx bit, since I couldn't get my head behind there to see anything.
