- i cant keep making leafpool videos forever, i say, lying, and making another one (tho to be fair this is a shortened and simplified version of a more fleshed out amv idea i have)

to give a brief rundown of what's happening here, since it's out of chronological order and pretty fast-paced:
-hollyleaf confronts leafpool, telling her to eat deathberries
-leafpool has a flashback to the time when she decided to run away with crowfeather, and cinderpelt lunged at her in desperate anger. she felt betrayed and hurt by her mentor (who was representing the will of starclan), and chose love. now, years later, her daughter/own former apprentice feels betrayed and hurt at her for this decision, and has effectively chosen starclan/the warrior code over leafpool.
-leafpool pleads with starclan for forgiveness for her transgression. flash forward to her trial, where a starclan cat taunts her with "well, why did you do it, then?"
-leafpool thinks about her grief and all the suffering that her breaking the code "caused" (cinderpelt's death, squirrelflight being forced to take her kits/lied to about her fertility, brambleclaw being lied to, ashfur's actions, squirrelflight being divorced, her children not forgiving her, losing her job, crowfeather denouncing her at the gathering, starclan doing nothing to help). she has no room left for sympathising with or paying penance for hollyleaf's anger, semi-sarcastically expressing that her own misery doesn't matter.
-back to the canon scene where leafpool calls hollyleaf's bluff and is like "yeah, sure, why don't i eat the deathberries?". hollyleaf backs out. - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Leafpool in the deathberry scene is so hardcore she had the power while Hollyleaf was a mess. She’s an icon, she’s a legend, and she is the moment.
0:23 man i always go back to this scene the way leafpool yells at hollyleaf just mesmerizes me, i kinda wish she did more of that in the books.

In all seriousness tho, my heart has been stampeded on. I can FEEL all the grief, anger, distraught, and all her pain throughout this. You executed that perfectly here. I especially love how angry she is at the end, like LET IT OUT GIRL. Keep up the Leafpool vids cause i am LIVING for them! Leafpool deserved better, fuck starclan.

A starclan cat told her to follow her heart (crowfeather) thus causing the three to exist. How convenient that cat is now gone to not be called out
A starclan cat LIED to squirrel telling her she cant have kits so she has to take in leafpools
HER AND SQUIRRELS TRIAL ALSO INCLUDES CODEBREAKERS BUT YEA SURE THEY NEED TO BE THE ONES IN A TRIAL NOT ASHFUR WHO TRIED TO COMMIT MURDER (or holly who in fact DID murder hmmmmm)
leafpool and squirrel deserve better and I wish starclan would face their own hypocrisy for ONCE
also this calls into question why evil cats who became leaders did not have a trial held where they had to argue as to why they should be allowed nine lives but eh I give up
While I agree, I feel like the writers could’ve went with a more interesting route and still would’ve gotten the power of three arc, rather than just another cross clan romance.
Everyone is so expressive in this, you can instantly get how all of them are feeling. Really great job

OH I LOVE THIS, I've never seen Cinderpelt be portrayed attacking Leafpool! is that a thing that actually happens in the books that people overlook, or is that a personal touch, because if so it's a really nice one!
Thank you, and yes, the cinderpelt thing is a real scene! It's in the book Twilight. Cinderpelt is trying to get leafpool to stop dating crowfeather because she knows she's going to die soon and doesn't want thunderclan to be without a medcat, they have an argument, leafpool says something about how cinderpelt doesn't know what it's like to feel love, and cinderpelt gets mad and launches at her with her claws out- leafpool then runs away shortly afterwards. It's a pretty underrated scene, I have a lot of feelings about it. (I think people mostly just point to it because it used to be the biggest in-book hint about cinderpelt's crush on firestar but ehhhh I hate that ship and it's ambiguous enough that I can pretend it's not real and focus on the tragedy instead LMAO)

I had no idea that was a scene, I knew Cinderpelt knew about her and Crowfeather but I had no idea she actually attacks her! ignoring that it's probably a hint to her having a crush on Firestar or whatever the Erins were trying to do there, that's actually incredibly emotional
@@FLESHFUCKER its a very good scene but i hate the idea of cinderpelt having a crush on firestar. he felt more like her brother than anything its just weird
@@flamboyantroach same LOL i never picked up on what the erins were apparently putting down there when i first read the series and decided cinderpelt was a lesbian and they were like siblings and i have refused to ever change this opinion. even as far as warrior cats forbidden or unrequited romances go it's so boringggg your honour that is her best friend
It’s such a good scene too, bc the previous books make a point of how close Leaf & Cinder are, and Cinder literally lunging at her claws-out is really the only glimpse we get to see of how panicked and unhappy she is about literally Knowing she is about to die but not being able to stop it. The only thing left in her power at that point was to stop Leaf from leaving, so she tried. By force, she tried. Because she had to try something, and since she’d be gone soon, she knew ThunderClan needed Leafpool more than she did. So she was willing to attack her for that. And i just. Auaughufjf absolute shambles
