Thank you for this video! I've been enjoying the barbarian, but definitely learned from your video. I had never considered picking skills that align on things like physical damage so I could get passives that benefitted more than one skill.

Yeah skill typing to get the most power as possible is always a thought. Especially when going into higher cycles or higher curses

Hi, thanks for the guide. What I'm wondering: does the skill level matter at all? Or is it only an indicator of the number of upgrades? Like, if I get a +5% damage, it effects all skills. But if I can get +10% damage for one specific skill + 1 skill level, is the +10% dmg all I get? Or are there any benefits in increasing the skill level in itself?

So the skill level doesn't really matter. It just shows that you had a lot of upgrades for that specific skill during the run. The only reason you would get +10% is because it's 5% more damage. No other reason. If you feel 5% damage increased to everything is better than 10% to one skill then rather take the 5%

What do u use miner soulstones on after u r done with the few u can buy in the skill tree?

Apparently stuff is to be added at a later stage for their usage. I believe it was mentioned in discord recent announcement. However it isn't something come right now in next update. I could be wrong or misread though.

Great guide thank you! Gonna try this build out. So far been working with the whole bleeding with totems thing whenever I can last long enough HAHA! Yea i'm a bit tossed with the separate aim thing, I'll get used to it though. Tried with my gamepad and with K&M. I dunno LOL

How are you getting so many skill points at once on a beginning character? I swear I got 1 or 2 at best each point they were offered.

How are you able to pick more than one skill per level?! I only get one choice each time I level up

I don't have auto level up on so it stacks level up points

Nice guide. If you haven't unlocked the arcane orb skill, that plus the holy + arcane beam and the arcane shield skill as the arcane weaver got me to infinite wave 15 on curse level 2. The arcane shield was definitely the MVP since the potency can be increased to over 200 blocked damage with a cool down of less than 5 seconds.

arcane beam seemed underwelming when i used it? attacks just 1 enemy is is super low dmg?

@@lycon7000 arcane beam has high base damage and with aoe it hits multiple enemies within a 🔵 at the end of the beams length

Magnetism increases your exp gain, try to always prioritize it, don't do what this guy did and pick stupid garbage like Doom over it. Essential Stuff > Insanely Rare Stuff > Magnetism > Helpful Stuff.

Doom leads you to finding Impending Doom. Impending Doom and Hypothermia are the strongest Synergy Passives in the game. Unless Magnetism is Rare Quality it is not that beneficial...

@@BrokensPlayz Impending Doom is mediocre, it's a way to cheese crit rate instead of going 5/10/15 at a time to 100% but even if you crit 100% of the time that's nothing compared to other offensive boosts you can get. It also has nothing to do with Hypothermia, as they are far away from each other. Impending Doom leads into Desperation and then Thermal Shock, before leading to Hypothermia, but Desperation is awful, so you'd never want to go that route unless you're going full circle. The better way to do it is to get Touch of Ice, then lead into Hypothermia and Gangrene. Now if you do want to go full circle, that's fine but Fateful Strikes is not super important to getting that going, until you complete the circle, Impending Doom is bad and the second worst one. You're better off grabbing a Spontaneous Combustion when it shows up and isn't competing with something far more valuable.
In general these effects are going to be pretty mediocre. When bosses start to hit 50 mill HP, it will take far longer to kill them using these effects than to just use moves on them, so unless your plan is to avoid the boss, best to focus on stuff that makes your ability to fight bosses better. Movement Speed, Area, Relentless.
Idk if all levels take the same exp in this game or if there is scaling exp, but if you take 10 Magnetism, that's 100% exp. If levels are the same, a level 50 without magnetism could be a level 100 with it, which would technically be a level 90, since magnetism takes up 10 levels and provides no combat value aside from positioning and quicker upgrades mid battle. Still 40 levels over a person who doesn't take it is massive.
This changes if the levels do scale up but it doesn't change the result, the exp gained will make it so a player taking it out scales a player who doesn't.

@ThePurpleKnightmare so you are not wrong about magnetism. It is very good. However it is only worth it for long runs like endless or overlord. Also when I mentioned hypothermia and impending doom I did not mean go to hypothermia from doom. I mean take 1 doom and 1 touch of ice to ensure you get both of those synergy upgrades. You don't need to take more than 1 doom upgrade or slow unless you slow stacking
