Justin, Rob.. I want to tell you, letting that young man catch a fish with your rod..this is why I watch your videos, you both have such great character honor and integrity.. What a nice thing to do for him. Im 57 yrs old and you guys have made me a bass addict, Ive fished in canada since I was 5..fished for Musky pike walleye...I have missed out fishing in ohio for bass all these yrs, but because of you guys no more.. Bought my first ranger bass boat and thats all I do now!! You guys are wonderful young men and it is a pleasure watching all your work!!! I will be entering any giveway to fish with each of you.. Thank you so much guys, keep up the good work.. And Rob I am a 10 yr army NG vet.. You have my support to the end!! Curt
Justin, thanks for the response,I wish you and your wife nothing but health and happiness..what two wonderful people you are!! Responding back just shows your character.. Thank you again, cant wait to see that music video.. and your future vids always.. God bless LFG and OSG and ofcourse Winston
I can't say how refreshing it is to see a mainstream bass fishing TH-camr enjoying carp fishing, calling them pretty, and handling them respectfully. Thank you. Also, that was so freaking awesome of you to hand off the rod to the other dude! He won't forget that for a long time. As far as tips go, people in my community almost always use Octopus Circle Hooks (size 6 or 8) because they basically set themselves and are safer for the fish. I almost never lose a carp when I'm using those. With those, though, you just wait until the fish takes off with the line- there is nothing quite like the initial burst run of a carp. Keep it up, man - I appreciate this video a lot.
Hey for carp bait use some flour and just enough water to make it thick then put some vanilla extract in it then mix it. Then nuke it in the microwave. Then when it feels rubbery its done. Warning highly addictive in fish! This bait recipe works great for panfish too.
Some advice when dough fishing... use a smaller hook and make sure the point is exposed and let that bugger run the line a bit before you set the hook.
Use a minnow trap then add some 🍞 or some 🐕 food and put it in shallow water the go back in a few hours then get yo minnows BUT ONLY IF U SEE SOME MINNOWS 👌
Wow nice fish I need to make me some carp bait for this weekend it's my birthday so going out sat and coming home Sunday night but always spend my birthday on water somewere if I can. Don't really have a ride but gonna drive my RV needs fixed but I want to fish. Plus after last sat the fish I cought omg huge. Wish y'all could see it. But the video what the hell. That was a 18 min fun fight. We got 8 min videoing but getting my 10 or 15 ft rod and my bait runner I'll get better pitures next time and size and weight. But good vidoe bro thanks for sharing. God bless.
Use a rig called the hair rig look up catfish and carp on youtube I have a recommended set up for carp a 7 foot ugly stik gx2 with a daiwa regal bite and run reel
A lot of people clown on carp fishing, but until they get a taste of their power on that light tackle they would never know that they give you that adrenaline rush just the same! If you like the fight and excitement of fishing, try it out.
insert an inline sliding weight on your mainline. tie on a swivel-snap. Tie a hair rig with light braid with a loop on the end and attach it to the snap. Put sweet corn on the hair rig and cast it out. Chum a few handfuls of corn over your spot and. Have a loose drag on the reel so the rod doesn't fly in the water. When you hear the drag screaming, tighten the drag, and don't set the hook, just raise the rod. Using a hair rig sets the hook itself with the inline lead. The carp will always be hooked in the bottom or corners of the soft mouth. Hang on and good luck.
Just a FYI moment. Your buddy mentioned that these common carp were vegetarians. They eat night crawlers, and I have caught them on a mixture of raw hamburger, vanilla extract and Wheaties. I've caught hundreds of carp on night crawlers, and had great luck on corn also. I also remember catching one on a crappie minnow too.
grain mill loading docks on a river, where the barges come in to load. fish anything yummy on the bottom, caught my first carp that weighed 48lbs doin that. bringing it in on a light trout rod was an exciting 15 minute fight haha
i have been using minnows for bait for years now and honestly the best way is to get a net and scoop some up. I have caught more in one scoop than i have ever caught in a trap. good luck :)
I used to carp fish with my dad when I was a kid. It was so much fun. I think it would be cool if you targeted them. If you could get a record that would be insane and so much fun.
how i used to trap minnows as a kid was with a mason jar window screen to make a funnel and a piece of white bread. would leave it in the creek over night and stuffed with minnows the next day.
My biggest carp I have ever caught was 30lbs. I was using a 5'6 light with 4lb test with a #12 eagle claw laser sharp hook with a small chunk of hotdog on it. Also two #7 split-shot about 15inchs up on the line.
Bread is good, but I found corn flakes to be better (get them a little wet, and then smash into a ball). Also, Instant mashed potatoes works well. ...and Nightcrawlers...
Carp are great fun fish. They get really big, my best being 33.6 common. FUN FUN FUN. Best of all the bait is the breakfest of champions..........Wheaties & vanilla
Hey man try sweet corn kernel's , we use it straight from the can as carp bait , but over here they are a noxious pest and we don't let them go alive (illegal to release back into the water) Great fun catching tho 👍 awesome of you to let that kid reel one in. He'll be hooked for life now 👌
Use corn and worms. When I use dough bait I get small carps like the ones in the video, but when I use corn or worms(mostly worms) I tend to get bigger carp. My biggest buffalo was 14.7ib on a worm and I caught a 6.5ib common carp on corn. The best places to fish for them are at rivers, dams, and especially rivers with grass growing in them.

Great video of a great fighting fish that is largely overlooked by many anglers.
this has got to be one of my favorite vids by you LFG, i come back and watch it all the time. keep up the great content man!!
The secret to catching minnows is calling them minners like kendal grey
Glad to see the HAT as a recurring prop.
I think LFG and Lunkers are becoming besties😘

man you guys nailed them great video, love seeing other species of fish being caught. Lotta guys hate on carp but they sure are great fighting fish.
tie up some hair rigs with mosquito hooks and use plastic tooth picks for stops you can use plastic corn also caned corn is the best bait for carp
Lfg and lunkers are always the best combo
Love fishin with an ultralight fer carp and catfish i have always used doughballs my dad made and corn fer carp
This looks like a blast, I love catching the old bugle lips on light weight tackle!
Awesome!! Congrats on almost 300k
Really enjoying these vids with Lunkers, keep it up.
Some advice when dough fishing... use a smaller hook and make sure the point is exposed and let that bugger run the line a bit before you set the hook.
I already know its a good vid
I found pike and catfish see video
The mouth on that thing.....
Love the channel. Keep it up
The best way to catch minnows is to find a good location
I always prefer fishing for catfish, bass, or trout but ANY fishing is at the very least a good time!
You and Rob should do a carp catch and cook XD that would be hilarious I bet
That was a fun video for a change of pace.
I love fishing my ultra light.
Lfg and lunkers = great vids
Gotta get those carp on the fly...one of the funniest fights you'll ever have
Use a minnow trap then add some 🍞 or some 🐕 food and put it in shallow water the go back in a few hours then get yo minnows BUT ONLY IF U SEE SOME MINNOWS 👌
That would be so sick catch like a 50 pounder on that ultralight 😱🤘🎣

I woke up because u uploaded lol worth it

Greta video. I always use a landing net. Its so much easier than crouching on the bank.
lookatchu!! you are now a hero in Mexico!! lol
Use a rig called the hair rig look up catfish and carp on youtube I have a recommended set up for carp a 7 foot ugly stik gx2 with a daiwa regal bite and run reel
They are great fighters & so much fun. I use a light steelhead rod even more fun.
try sweet corn works a treat.
👌 video guys, great job ....
watch catfish and carp youtube channel
I want one of those cowboy hats 🤔
Yall try catching a bigun at lake benbrook
Carp are soooo fun to catch they just never give up
foul hooked carp fight hard af, I snag a few every year by accident
I always bait my minnow traps with bread.
A few weeks ago I bought an ice rod to use for carp and it is the craziest fight
Try a cast net instead of a trap for catching baitfish. It's fun, and sometimes quite profitable.
A lot of people clown on carp fishing, but until they get a taste of their power on that light tackle they would never know that they give you that adrenaline rush just the same! If you like the fight and excitement of fishing, try it out.
Nice change here guys.
Cream corn works great on carp and pan fish
Justin, good thing you caught some fish, otherwise it would have been a crap carpless day!!!' Take care and God Bless Dude!
Carp love mulberries. Great bait if you can get it to stick to a hook.

Man, you have got to use a Black Top H style fighting harness with that UL tackle, Gig Em!
That looks like fun

I've caught hundreds of carp on night crawlers, and had great luck on corn also. I also remember catching one on a crappie minnow too.
damn would i love to see you fight a 20kg carp lol
Hair rigs help with getting a good hookup on carp.
Yesss so good
I just made my first minnow traps this afternoon! I'm going to try them out tomorrow morning while I use bass lures to pass the time
grain mill loading docks on a river, where the barges come in to load. fish anything yummy on the bottom, caught my first carp that weighed 48lbs doin that. bringing it in on a light trout rod was an exciting 15 minute fight haha

add corn meal to your dough bait to make it denser, this allows it to stick to the hook better.
You should try weaties and big red dough bait for carp with trouble hook
Pretzels, the thing stick type ones. Also cornmeal in a sock.
cheerios work. haha
LFG you guys should try to carp fish with playdoug, it works man I'm tellin ya
I love you thank for your video

y'all should do catfishing next
there is alot of big buffalo below the dam on cooper lake. just a short trip for you gents. make the trip and give it a try.
Try carp fishing up here in Virginia there three times bigger then the ones your catching
Bread is good, but I found corn flakes to be better (get them a little wet, and then smash into a ball). Also, Instant mashed potatoes works well. ...and Nightcrawlers...
Good minnow bait is cheerios. For some reason they work better than any other cereal brand.
I love carp fishing I am a kid angler for carp I catch alot in North Carolina
Carp are great fun fish. They get really big, my best being 33.6 common. FUN FUN FUN. Best of all the bait is the breakfest of champions..........Wheaties & vanilla
This reminds me of when I was trying to catch 10 lb wild steelhead on the same setup😂
Hey man try sweet corn kernel's , we use it straight from the can as carp bait , but over here they are a noxious pest and we don't let them go alive (illegal to release back into the water)
Great fun catching tho 👍 awesome of you to let that kid reel one in. He'll be hooked for life now 👌

Hooking into a 20+ lb freshwater drum or channel cat when deep water smallie fishing is a blast too :p
