I’ve been humming myself back to sleep if i wake in the middle of the night. Humming - vagus nerve “stimulation” - works immediately and every time and is less brain work than imagining a scenario. Remarkable.
I’ve stopped getting up to urinate in the middle of the night, hooray! This nighttime urination is snother sign of oxalate poisoning and/or dumping. The kidneys empty frequently for the first 10 hours from waking, then they slow. I stop drinking liquids about 3-4 hours before bedtime, limit to under 8oz total the entire time. Works well and perhaps the oxalates are finally decreasing in my body. All good stuff, despite the discomfort.
Finally a bright sunny day in the NE from sunrise! Cheers!

Diet talk! If we are eating seasonally, and locally, this time of year is a start of a lower fat type of diet. Depending on if one was a farmer or a hunter gatherer, it varies a little bit. If we were hunter gatherers, the wild animals we would be harvesting are very lean this time of year. Our stores of fat and food are dwindling or gone. Availability of food for both agricultural and hunting gathering is the least from late winter to mid spring. I normally have a moderate to high fat diet year-round, and I am considering a low fat diet for these months since it’s actually in harmony with what is happening in nature around us. Thoughts?

Personally, I resonate with this idea. Early Spring is a time for longer fasting for me, as the seasons change here in the cold NE and the days warm and become more pleasant to be outside longer. I become more energetic, wanting to get outside.
Have you tried going lower fat consistently during the springtime yet? How does your body feel?
With me, I need to alternate low fat and more fat days, otherwise I’m less mood-stable. I achieve the lower fat days with more fasting and liquid food. I’m talking 24-72 hour fasts once a week or fortnight.
      Cheers!

I lived in the woods for a year eating a 80% local seasonal diet. ( the non seasonal not local was mostly a few pieces of fruit and vegetables like broccoli during winter months) April to the end of July was very lean and 95% local. The main fat we had was an organ meats and the head of an animal. Also the oils in freshwater fish but still it was pretty low fat.
animals pack on fat late summer to early fall. that’s when we had a huge increase in fat intake. Also harvesting wild rice so an increase in starch intake from august to February ish. We had rendered fat from bears throughout the winter too. The “macros” we’re similar with agricultural people, is my guess. At least this region, northern Midwest.

Hi Carrie, Sarah. I'm on of those people that can tKd a month or more to get back jnto rhythm. I'm also very sensitive to blue light and many foods, alknv with MCS.
Regarding getting signaling at Sunrise, I've heard that it is not critical to capture sunrise znd getting as close to it, and generally before 9:00am is best. What is your thinking here? And particularly during this firsf week of time change, in the onset would there be big difference from being out there at 7:15 am sunrise as opposed to let's say 8:15am? Thanks
