I never really considered decora as a look for myself because I'm more into Lolita and Fairy Kei as well as Fairy Lolita which is a combo of the two. I really like pastel styles.

Ahhh, I love this so much!!! Dark decora was one of those styles I really loved looking at when I was a teen back in 2006-08, but didn't know how to pull together. I'm so happy to see that it hasn't completely faded into obscurity!

I LOVE IT! I had so many of these pics saved to my computer in like 2005-2007 I had no idea this was a specific substyle but they were the ones I was drawn to as a Western emo kid discovering the fashions of Harajuku. I would PILE ON accessories trying to be like my fave pics. I even tried to do the cute facemask thing with a dustmask from the hardware store that I reused so much it was gross lol
I miss when Tokyo has these Sub Styles an they had their own little Districts especially Harajuku or Shibuya. I got into Gyaru as I got older as a Teen. But Harajuku always had my Heart.

theres pretty much an "alt" aka dark version of every alternative style :D ik alt is something difference these days but pretty much every harajuku fashion is an alternative fashion. in j-fashion they just call them dark versions. tiktok alt tends to be kind of an amalgamation of pop-punk and mall goth & yes there are punk versions of most j-fashion styles :D

I love the look!! I have been admiring decora for a while but I'm not really drawn to rainbow or multicolor stuff. I own mostly black and white (with the exception of my lolita wardrobe). And I don't want to buy stuff just for it that I can't use with the rest of my wardrobe! I thought of trying a black and white coord but wasn't sure about it. I'm happy that it is a style I can look into now!! I'll def be looking into decora now :). Lovely video, thank you!
