That's how you'll notice things like facial expressions, hand gestures, and sometimes even certain appearances in the characters that they share with their voice actors!

***** I liked Idina Menzel in Wicked (she was AMAZING as Elphaba), but Let It Go has a very misleading message - it really does mean 'Fuck it All' to be honest. Yes kiddos, be an a-hole and care about only yourself. Jesus. I prefer Tiana to Elsa for sure. At least Tiana doesn't look like a bug-eyed, alien head version of Daenerys from Game of Thrones. I think all those years singing in Broadway kind of strained/ruined her vocals a bit. She's still a great singer, but not as good as she was before. But I can sympathize with that - she did work really hard on her performances, after all. Also I think another singer/voice actor should have been picked to portray Elsa - even if I am an Idina fan.

***** The Oscars isn't a very good example of Idina's talent. She is getting a bit older, and the orchestra was going to fast and it wasn't good overall. Try looking up some songs of her career on Broadway. Anika and Idina are both amazing. We don't have to compare singers and decide who is better than the other because I'm pretty sure they can both sing better than you and I.
+Ciara Grace I know this was two years ago but idina has put a lot of strain on her voice she is not in her prime anymore. Don't judge her based on the oscars. she has been on boadway doing 8 shows a week since the mid 90s. I first saw her back in 2003 in Wicked and she is amazing at her best.

PabloTheOffender they went back to classical animation elements for a reason; today's animation is awful most of the time (obviously there are exceptions). This movie was a masterpiece because Disney stuck to their strengths and went back to their roots. It's just a pity this generation can't appreciate what a success it was.
I don't think it was because she was a black princess, but more so the fact that this movie had very New Orleans style songs, and they do t go necessarily well with their target market that is little girls

Princess and the Frog is so underrated. The songs were so amazing and catchy and jazzy, it's what really got me back into disney musicals when I was nine, which led to the demise of my social life through showtunes and Broadway musicals. (Disney is the gateway drug to theatre :) I thought Tiana was such an amazing princess, because she worked hard for everything she wanted, despite being discriminated against and losing her father. And she falls in love with her prince for the right reasons. Although i love Disney, just because a guy is "handsome" doesn't mean I should, oh, I don't know, change my whole life and abandon my family and disobey my parents to be with him. (Don't hate on me, I love the Little Mermaid with a large percentage of my heart.) But Tiana doesn't love him for looks; I mean - they were frogs for about 90% of the movie - she loves him because he brings out things in her that she didn't realize she needed (fun, love, impulsiveness.) I just feel she doesn't get the credit she deserves. I was having a conversation the other day with my friend and we were discussing different Disney Princesses and she totally forgot Tiana and went right from Mulan to Tangled. Plus, Anika Noni Rose. Enough said, Her voice is just powerful.

She is the best princess hands down her voice is amazing and it doesn't need any auto toon I personally think princess and the frog is the best Disney movie and tiana is the best princess because she wasn't rich and she worked really hard for what she wanted it teaches little kids that not everything is handed to u and I think the reason why it wasn't as sucsessful as the other Disney princess movies is because she's black. That really is a shame it shouldn't matter what color she is it's the moral behind the story but I think it's better that she blackbird about time they make a black princess cause not everyone in the world is white. I agree that Anita noni rose has an AMAZING voice and I really like Tiana. But no, she's not the first poor princess in the begining of the movie. Cinderella is a very very old movie and has almost the same "moral" than Princess and the frog. The difference is that Tiana is working for something and cinderella is just.. suffering, working and expecting that things change by themselves. But both of them are working they a** off and are not born little rich princess.
And no, Tiana is not the first 'not white princess'. We have Pocahontas, Jasmine, and Mulan.
