Watching Oliver is so relaxing. He’s very busy with his morning routine. Activities relating to his tail clearly take up quite a bit of his morning routine: catching his tail, losing his tail, grumbling about losing his tailing, biting his tail, whining about his tail escaping from him, victorious re-catching of his tail, etc., etc.
When Oliver rolls over onto his back, he reminds me of Snoopy!

I too am a die-hard fan of Oliver. I bet you never imagined that this gorgeous beagle would have such an influence on you and your life.
It is the simple, innocence of a puppy just doing what puppies do that makes people crazy for him. Watching him almost restores my faith in this world because I feel if the world can have a little guileless dog like this then it can't be an all bad place.

It's great to watch Oliver. I think that Charles Shultz must have had a beagle. The cartoon dog acted like a real dog. On it's back on its home spot head back all the way, stretching, swarming, and kicking. He is so cute. He makes me want to get a beagle.

That baby loves his bed! So adorable. I had 2 beagles - sisters from the same litter - that were also adorable. They are gone now, but I ache to have them back. I love watching Oliver because he reminds me of Ivy & Mabel.

Watching Oliver taking his time to wake up and go through his ritual, this brings back warm memories when I was an eight year old growing up in those wonderful summer mornings in Minnesota back in 1968. My brother and I walked a mile to Adam's Doggie Shop on July 25, 1968 to get our miniature beagle, Rocky. My 13 year old brother carried her back to our home. My brother's bedroom was off the kitchen. ... and EVERY summer morning he slept in until 11:00 at the earliest. Every morning he went through the same "wake up" ritual very similar to Oliver's! The day after we picked up little Rocky, my Mom and I were up by 9:30 or so to meet Rocky's first full day with us. Rocky slept her first night in A small wooden box in the kitchen. Rocky woke up as soon as my Mom and I walked into the kitchen. Little Rocky woke up and when she noticed her mother, brother & sisters weren't there, she started crying! Ml y Mom and I went to comfort her, but she picked up my brother's scent, sniffed her way directly to my brother's bedroom door! She tried her hardest to dig under his door while she was howling. ... Arrrrooooo! My Mom told me that my brother became her Mama because he carried her to her new family! My Mom a nb d I carried Rocky into my brother's bedroom so Rocky could be with my brother, but instead of being happy to see our new family member, my brother started going through his wake up ritual. ... just like Oliver does!

Oh Michelle - try your hardest to adopt! Go on the internet and look up beagle clubs, etc. There are sooooo many needing loving homes. I got me beagle mix baby 7 years ago come October and life has been wonderful. Can't imagine what life would have been like if i had not had her. Remember - adopt-don't buy! Good luck ! These little guys are awesome!
