I knew this ear piece was Thai from the start but aftering seeing some Cambodian people wearing it, I was a bit confused. Since I wasn't sure, I asked my followers and majority says it's both. I didn't want to offend anybody so I titled it "Thai/Cambodian" but I guess it already offended some. Sorry..

This why it become controversial because one or the other is not telling the truth. People are not educated on this topic will say that things that stur it up more. Its true, no need to explain yourself but wouldn't you hated per say. if someone say latin language copy english language when we all know its the other way around because we are informed. Both side are honest and inform where it came from and its not ashamed. Also, its like saying greek copy roman or vise versa. Mayan Temple is created by american because its in America. etc. Or hmong written alphabet is not derive from english alphabet. Just throwing random stuff that just if and if ...someone say things like that. Wouldn't you want them to be informed. So in that case I like to give link to things that may answer the topic between thai and khmer. (khom, khamen.(thai word for Cambodian) aka khmer/cambodian)
Just so you know if people are curious about that ear piece, just go and google Apsara khmer on khmer temple. You will see the carving of it and the language that is still used today by khmer.
I've actually traced the original Cambodian ear piece in it's actual size and made a couple of them using doubling scrapbook paper, foil paper, a blade, glue, hot glue and sequins. It would be nice to own the actual ones, but I've made several designs based of the original. And yes, It is difficult to distinguish the Thais from the Khmer ones, from my experiences, in plain view, Khmer is typically just gold, some with diamonds, a couple colored gems, indents and carved detailing. As for Thai, the shape is more exaggerated and decorated with more colored gemstones. It's really about how exaggerated, if that helps.
P.S. I'm glad to know these kind of videos exist(preserving culture)

i've loved your makeup tutorials ever since i found you last year on youtube ! Your super pretty and i love this ear piece you made. Thai and Cambodian are very similar, even the writing. im cambodian and this ear piece is the same as Thai. also, can you do a makeup tutorial on how to get big eyes with big lashes (i wear color contacts too !) but use less foundation and more of a natural/big eyes/big natural lashes look. thanks !

The watered down glue word just fine to seal down any loose glitter, but I would use clear nail polish.
