Admittedly cold war was just that little too easy and the whole infinite self revives thing is bonkers looking back but ultimately, you aren't forced into it. They 100% need to make sure that BO6 presents a BO3 level of challenge as far as difficulty but the cold war fundamentals and functions are something that I think is definitely positive going into BO6.

What do you mean infinite self revives? There is no such thing, in CW if you go down you have to use your tombstone perk which makes no sense and it just gets you killed, you can't even hit the zombies and they are all rushing you, and you're now 2 hit since you don't have Jug

I think for self-revive it shouldn't change but i think the more you buy it the more the price goes up by 500
That still wouldn’t help, because by round 25 u have like over 10k points, although the perks are pretty expensive
Well infinite self revives is how I farmed crystals to upgrade my perks and weapons, it was pretty useful

Infinite self revive doesn't need to leave the game..... They need to let it get more expensive the more you buy it .... Deceasing your chance of survival..... SIMPLE!!!
@FF-oq5zp well if they fix the xp system for weapons then it'd be alright, but they make it such a tedious grind to upgrade everything 💀
For the self revive mechanic, I'd like to see 3 Quick Revives as self-revive's, like the old days, but then make the perk 1000 points on solo instead of 500 and add the new effects that the perk received since BO4.
Hey Dalek, if you do go through all of the cold war maps as a road to BO6, include Onslaught and Onslaught Containment too. I think the design of that game mode is actually severely underrated, the obvious thing that let's it down is it is done on multiplayer maps but the more survival map aspects to the mode are decent and I don't think it gets enough love.
Onslaught is very underrated.
Honestly, I partially hope they just let you play on Multiplayer Maps in BO6 but all maps acting a little more like Containment, and maybe adding a Pack-a-Punch Machine, Wunderfuzz, and an Armor/Rarity Station. Just treat them like survival maps. Would it possibly be super easy? Maybe. But it'd be fun

Having a map that is difficult very large and the only way to get perks is to run miles on the map and buying multiple doors to unlock the gigantic map would be a lot more fun than a stupid ass station to buy armor. You already have jugg why have armor!!! What’s the point of the damn perks if there are easy ways around it. Like spawning in with a dual clip really… so stupid

The armour system is convoluted in zombies because it enables you to take more hits when there is a perk in the game that does that

Definitely should go back and play bo3 maps, zombies chronicles maps are my absolute favorites and the giant map are all the maps I play the others are not for me but I give those other maps the respect they have earned and play them once in a while
I’ll say it again as I do every time people discus the difficulty of CWZ, I had never been able to convince my friends to go through the entire Easter egg quests through every map until Cold War. Cold War got the gameplay right. Difficult or not, Treyarch will make it fun which is really what matters at the end of the day. If anything maybe they can make a difficulty setting like we had in BO4 and give us best of both worlds.
I just hope they make all the content available for Solo players 😎

as someone who could always get to round 30 plus in bo3 bo2 and bo1 i personally dont care that cold war made zombies easier. i liked the salvage and i like how they made the mode easier to no zombie fans. the best zombie memories i have is trying to get round 100 on the first cold war map and playing early in the morning on eekends woth friends when i was younger

the problem with being easy is that for people who want zombies content, we run out of it almost immediately. cold wars EE's were finished "45 min" after launch and all side quest were done 24 hrs after launch. that leaves people who like zombies out of content after a day so collectively we had 4 days of play on cold war. when on a game like Bo3 even we were hunting for a week and were solving cyphers and finding pages for months after maps launched. we had reasons to keep playing. reasons that weren't (camos/ loadouts)

I 100% agree with everything you stated Jon. Especially the menus which we have to scroll through in-game. Also yeah weapon rarities don't belong in zombies either. We just need bo3 system nothing more.
In cold war there already is a price increase every time you buy a self revive. Plus, if you down and use a self revive, you still lose perks and have to re-buy the self revive at specific spots.

CWZ hard and complicated i hardly get to Round 17, i miss how zombies simple was, i have been grinding almost 3days to complete Parks skin challenge were you must exfill 1 time on 3 different matches and still not achieved it.

Controversial opinion from someone who considers themselves basically a casual, but knows their friends who play play significantly more casually: while they shouldn't aim for the LCD, the difficulty of the base mechanics in the game probably shouldn't be determined by the expectations of a group of people whose job it is to learn those mechanics so well that they can sleepwalk their way through large parts of the game
My wishlist for bo6 zombies
1: Remove self revive
2:Make Easter egg hard(Boss fight)
3: Remove scorestreaks
4:Make a separate mode so we can start with pistol(Not loudout system)
5: And finally please remove armour system

Self revives have always been in solo play via quick revive which I only play so I could care less

Number 4 is a definite for me, i loved starting with nothing as you progress and get new guns, starting with any weapon just feels lame to me.
I still have yet finished all the Easter eggs
I think outbreak was a fantastic game mode and I hope it makes a return
If theyre gonna insist on weapon rarities (which i hope they don't) then weapons should auto-upgrade with kills and usage, making it a much more fluid system.

Idk as someone who always loved zombies but was never good at it, Cold War changed that for me. I not only enjoyed it but primarily played it. Did every Easter egg in the game. But it did spoil me, getting 3 swiped killed in BLOPS3 in 2024 doesn't feel good.
i think that bo6 should have two modes for zombies a hardcore mode where you start with a pistol only and only buy 1 self revive or maybe have it get more expensive then a mode like cold war zombies where you can pick a gun/loadout to go in with and have the self revives stay the same price so it shows both hardcore and new/casual players

There should be a hard mode with different leaderboards.
Ideally the hard mode would be closer to like OG zombies, perks and that’s it

I tried playing bo3 zombies after mwz. I can’t get past round 10/12 but I can play in tier 3 blind folded. I think a balance of the two would be best. Bo3 is too hard for me. I also have 0 progress in bo3 so there’s that too

This is the first cold war zombie video i'm watching. I'm wondering it's 17 mins video but what about without cuts? Easter eggs is way to long/complicated ! Hope it's not the same on block ops 6 or they will not get any penny from me.
I hope BO6 is more like BO3 but unfortunately I feel like it will be a CW part two in terms of gameplay and zombies mechanics.
Maybe it will be acceptable just if the maps are good enough or not stupid like those maps of CW as I don't like the direction Treyarch has gone with zombies maps in the last few games.
Also I hope to see a remastered version of Tranzit of BO2 which will be great with this gen of consoles and even a remaster of all BO2 zombies maps in addition to Call of the Dead from BO1 as a Zombies Chronicles 2 DLC would be great, too.
Personally, I have no problems with the armor system, I know it was better before when we collect parts for it and build it but it isn't that big of problem though.
They can make some minor changes that as you said will make the game more like as it was before such as the animation of pack a punch machine, starting with a pistol only so the game becomes more challanging and the mystery box gets back its value, the damage system so we get points for each hit will make it a more strategy based game especially in the early rounds and if they just remove the health bars and the mini map that will bring the feeling of OG zombies more and more, adding more easter eggs like those of BO3 which were fantastic and finally one last thing that if they can add the movement of BO3 ( quick slide ) as it was a game changing at that time.
Quick revive needs to go back to the OG system simple, 3 downs and that's it

Round based was cool but if it never came back it wouldn’t bother me. If there isn’t a outbreak or other type of open world mode then I probably won’t play it.
BO6 most likely will have Outbreak post-launch. I'd be shocked if it didn't happen.
Yeah round based is not the be all and end all for me either, although I would still play it if no open world map is available at launch. I just loved Outbreak so much.

CW is lacking soul, atmosphere, etc. It’s a little too easy also. I’m glad that the new Terminus map looks more moody and seems like they are reverting back some things to previous zombies.
Also, speaking of maps, CW has some of the worst maps, the maps were really lacking and thats something that they need to really succeed

Im just wondering why didn't they make hardcore mode in new bo6 zombies for og players, like starting with pistol and you could only buy self revive 2 to 3 times only, and the knife kills the zombies with one hit in round 1, and 2 hits in round 2 etc, and you're limited to drink 5 perks, and you cannot use "some" not all helpful mechanics like mantling or dolphin dive, and making some ee steps are 2 to 4 players required to solve the ee, and once ee solved the game rewards the players with alternative ending or cutscene and giving the players blueprints or weapon camous or charms or calling cards, ughh man like there are so many good ideas for the next zombies game i wish they drop a real 3arch zombies game not like cold war
Because the community doesn’t like difficulty.they like easy gameplay while being able to be op.bo4 gave us a difficulty system for players and no one touched hardcore or realistic because it was “to hard”.It’s also the same reason people don’t like the rampage inducer .

I love cod zombies but I didn't like the open world zombies and really stopped following story..hopefully you do story recap..but I think zombies is nto hard anymore..the last real hard zombies that required good players was blops 4...so i hope blops 6 brings back that tough challenge of zombies from the past..also I agree with that self revive but to be honest I never noticed u can use it multiple times cuz It neeve crossed mind that I was getting multiple lol..haven't been this excited for cod since blops 4

they have to remove the loadouts, leaving the mystery box useless I hate zombies it's not multiplayer.
The loadouts are just optional so you can just spawn with a pistol and the box won’t be useless
