I think when he's done with probation and at least a solid year with this team, then he should definitely be part of their team/ mission. He would be a great asset because, he's completed everything and is 100% FREE. He could work well with long term prison releases and mentor and help guide and direct them in the right direction. I think you have something here and they should definitely put him in their team because, I can see Danny taking their work to a higher level than they could even imagine. This is real life for many people. Life out here is hard even for us that haven't ever experienced anything close to his life and his journey. Just try if you can to imagine how extremely hard it's got to be for Danny and people like him. We must stop judging and realize we are all humans and we are all created by the same God. We are all connected.

Hes definitely had an interesting journey for sure . I don't wish his life on anyone. People should be thanking this team for taking these men in and introducing them into the world with a support system. They are changing life's and giving these men a real chance at what we all take for granted. Our freedom is a beautiful thing and we should thank God for it too! Crazy to think of what he's been through. It's more intense and more interesting than an actual movie is. Crazy just crazy no one should be treated this way, we're all humans. When we start viewing them as equals maybe, we can all see we are all the same!

Love to hear Danny tell his stories from his 40 years in Prison. An amazing man who has been to Hell and back and still is a humble man and so eager to start his new life over. Just started following the After Prison videos and I like what I am seeing with the men who get out of prison and encounter so much adjustment and in comes Joe and his boys to help .Kudos to them for all they try to do to help these former convicts.

Danny - The racial incidents goes both ways. Back in the late 70's I got jumped and beat up at Egleston st station by a bunch of Puerto Rican boys just for being a white boy. Also got jumped in Mattapan by blacks for being white while on my way to school. I was by myself both times. Back in the 70's in Boston we had forced busing which divided the city racially. It was never that bad before forced busing. The government divided us. Boston is not like that any more. Racial incidents are very rare now in Boston. I hope you do well in life going forward!!!
Happened to me in St. Louis, too. The bussed in kids had to get up at 5:30 am to get to school and were in a bad mood when they got there. Two hours a day added to their day each way..

I love the Danny videos, he is great part of APS!!, I'm glad you guys met him and it's great to see him doing good. To hear his insight into the world of Prison from him being there for 40 years is so interesting. The best part is he is intelligent and can tell a story the right way! Thanks Danny, keep it up man!
