One time I won $800 at the casino. I knew I should go home. However I told myself " hey let me play just $100 of this. Who knows, maybe I'll turn a good night into a great night. If I lose, who cares, I can then leave with a really good $700. However after losing the $100, now I say to myself " ehhh I couldddd try just $100 more. If I lose that I'll leave with that remaining $600. Still a heckuva day right? " Well next thing I know I'm down to $300 and my thought process changes to " omg I can't leave with a measley $300 when I had a really nice $800 three hours ago!!! I absolutely HAVE to get that $500 back!!! Then I'll be back to $800 and THIS TIME I'll leave ( supposedly ) " Down to $200, down to $100, down to $20. Need gas but say screw it, down to $0. Now I want to puke and/or kick myself in the nuts. Mentally exhausted, stressed out, sickening feeling as I have a walk of shame to my car 😢😭😡🤬🤮

I have done exactly what you did . And then if the slot machines don't take 1 dollar bills and I have 1 or 2 I look for scratch card vending machines and spend my last bill .
Then I scrounge for coins in my pocket and car and stop at a gas station or convenience store to purchase a 1 or 2$ scratch ticket .
      Thanks for sharing .

You don’t need prayer. You need to change yourself. Find a hobby, exercise, spend time at work that you like, find a hobby, learn to meditate and know that you are already enough and find gratefulness to have what you have. You have your health and since you’re using TH-cam. You are in the highest 10 % of the human population.

You know, a gambling addict would never realize WHY a casino can stay in business. They don’t draw money up out of thin air… it’s made from the blood sweat and tears of addicts. And a true addict does not realize that the longer you stay in a casino, the more you will lose over time.

I love gambling and have a brand new casino 10 mins from my house! I just know how addictive it is and I know how easy I get addicted to bad things. I just can’t risk it, i might go once a year if that. Haven’t been in a casino for about 3 years now. I watched friends get hooked and they’re probably there as we speak. I swear the worst gamblers are always the one to get hooked! I’ve seen people who are just horrible in poker but they’ll go play every night lol.

Gambling starts like most minor bad habits. Its severity happens slow. Like just drinking beers with friends and then someday find yourself drinking alone one time and you just dont take much notice. Months years later you drinking regularly byyourself to cope with things like anxiety and looneliness. Gambling seems harmless first and for most it is. But I wanted to find a system rhat works in time. I was after getting an edge and winning longterm. There is so many videos and forums about different systems and those with gambling problems surely already now. THERE IS NO LONGTERM UNBREAKABLE SYSTEM THAT GIVES YOU WINNING FOREVER. The games are created to make gamblers loose. The deeper you dig into this and the more experience and knowledge you get the more dangerous it can be when you think you are UNIQUE and can get an edge. THERE IS NO SYSTEM THAT WORKS FOREVER. Forget about an lasting edge.

When I was a child, my dad ( gambling addict ) took me and my brothers to casinos, bingo halls, etc. We had to stand outside of the rope, where the gambling machines were. At bingo, he even let me dob the cards as a 10 - 11 year old. It was a different time back then and I think he knew the owner. So they let me do that. Anyway, putting a naive, impressionable, easily manipulated child in that environment is hideous. Two of us three brothers became massive gambling addicts, as soon as we were of age. Not a coincidence obviously. I have a ton of debt right now and it makes me sick. Wish he had waited for mom to come home from work, then go gamble by himself. Leave us kids out of it. What a horrible addiction. Absolutely financial obliterating, stressful, depressing, life destroying illness 😭

I’m here to learn why people gamble. And is it wrong if the spouse decided to call it quit, pack her bag & walk away about putting up with it for 18 yrs? At what point does the gambler wake up & say enough is enough… I quit! Is there anything a spouse can do to encourage a gambler to quit? Asking for a friend.

Quitting gambling is hard. I’d say the gambling addict needs to have all access to money taken away Indefinitely. And given a small allowance every week or month to spend on necessities. They can slowly over the years be given more access to their money, but supervised to make sure they don’t gamble it. At the first sight of them gambling it you start from square one of no access. This only works if they want to do it. If they don’t then they don’t want to quit gambling and you should leave them. I don’t think a gambling addiction can be cured. Just like I don’t think a drug addiction can be cured. Just controlled. This is an extreme solution. But you need an extreme solution for an extreme addiction.

gambling oppresses yourself and your family, gambling should be banned throughout the world, gambling is pure poison which is very destructive and poisons the mind, destroys happiness, spirit, and everything, you will feel very worthless and useless when you lose, but if you don't let it go, it will make you even more devastated, let's close the book and start a new life, just think of it as money to throw away bad luck

Why not just watch TV for your entertainment? You can’t lose any money or get emotional pain from it. You can get a thrill and dopamine release by watching programs you like. Fast paced game shows can replicate gambling thrill without financial or emotional ruin. I think getting more interesting with TV has lessened my urges to gamble. Have harmless and carefree fun! Gambling is very dangerous. I wish casinos were banned. There are much better ways to get entertained that won’t cause you to lose money.
