  • Honda Africa Twin Adventure and travel | Installation of the DCT foot shifter on my 2019 Honda Africa Twin DCT.
    I recently had bicep tendon surgery at the elbow. Recovery is slow due to a side effect from the procedure. I can not open my hand, and limited closing ability. The DCT foot shifter allows me to be able to shift in manual.

    Sorry to hear about the complications with your hand. I also had some lingering issues with dexterity and feeling. It seemed to drag on a couple extra months but then all of a sudden the issues disappeared. I’m still a bit weaker and feeling some nerve type pinches in my wrist but still better nonetheless. So keep thinking positive. IT WILL GET BETTER!

    When you are sat on the bike with the engine running in neutral. Can you put it into first gear by pressing down on the foot shifter, or do you need to press the D button? Then use the use the foot shifter once moving.

      All you do is use the foot shifter to put it in gear. You only have to hit the manual button if you don’t want it to be in automatic. Basically start stomp and go!

    I also currently have physical limitations. Is it worth it? If so, who did you order from and how much was it? Actually, I still eat up my son on his KTM but the paddle shifting is a real pain in the twistie turnies. I'm going to be praying for you brother.

      Hi, the shifter works great if you like to shift with your foot. Yes it’s worth it and I think you will enjoy it.

    Hello friend, how does the conversion feel like? Compared to the manual

    • @IronButterflyAT
      @IronButterflyAT  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Awesome, it is so much better then the paddle shifters. Compared to manual, the difference is you do not let off the gas to shift. So smooth. Plus no pulling in the clutch, no stalling.

    Doese this have one down and neutral and up or no neutral at all

    • @IronButterflyAT
      @IronButterflyAT  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There is a button on the right side handlebars for neutral. Otherwise you just shift up and down at will.

      @IronButterflyAT so any time you push that it will go into neutral?
